Man this stuff is too funny!!! The rest of the AFC East is flat out SCARED!!!:sidelol:

Guess who is back to AFC BEAST status?!!!

Scared of a guy that more than half the fin fans didnt want? Scared of a guy that made a living making plays out of the pocket and deep to Moss? 3 ligament tears and no Moss. Chambers is good, but so are a lot of WR's, no one is close to Moss in terms of fear he strikes in a defense.

Scared of his 80 fumbles in 80 games? Scared of his 120+ turnovers in 80 games?

Show me on the field. Culpepper is not winner. He is 41 and 46 as a starter.

I'll be scared if he takes control of your team and wins more games then he loses, but until then, Daunte Culpepper and the Miami Dolphins = ???

Sure, Daunte is not perfect. But let's analyze it another way shall we?

Dolphins were 9-7 with an awful QB. Now, Daunte is not perfect but, all things being equal, don't you think it's possible that the Dolphins have improved their QB situation dramatically?

Oh good, we're on the same page.

Now as to him being 41-46 as a starter... Have you SEEN The Viking Defense? Can you honestly tell me that Daunte's win/loss numbers won't be positively affected by playing on a team with a top ten defense as opposed to playing on a team with a bottom ten defense?

Lastly, you say you're not scared of a guy who made a living out of the pocket and throwing deep to Moss. Hmmmm.... Are you sure you don't want to re-think that, Sir? Because Culpepper had no one, and I mean no one to throw to in 2005. All rookies and stiffs. Here he has Pro Bowl caliber talent in Chambers, Booker, Welker and McMichael. Are they the BEST players at their position, no. Are they BETTER than what Daunte had in Minny? Oh, god yeah.

You could make an argument that Chambers and McMike are within the top 10 at their skill positions.

Finally, QB's thrive when defenses don't know what's coming and in Minny everyone knew. Here, we have a guy named ronnie and possibly (probably) a guy named Ricky. Both can catch but both LIVE to run. We've added some O-Line help and more is coming (another thing Daunte didn't have, any kind of support from an o-line) so this team's ability to run plus Mularkey's tendency to pull out all the stops on big 3rd down packages means a CONSERVATIVE Approach with BIG PLAYS when needed.

No more free wheeling Daunte on every down, we'll have balance. But isn't it nice to know that when we NEED our QB to scramble around and make a big play that we have one that can do it? Can Drew Brees do it? Not really. He's a caretaker QB (see Jay Fiedler) and as for scary...

When a franchise releases a proven veteran for an unproven rookie and hands him the season ala Buffalo and Losman.... NOW THAT'S SCARY!

Of course, that turned out ok, right?

Have a good night and don't worry about us Phin fans. Nick Saban is building a dynasty and we're all loving it.

GO PHINS!!!

See I agree that Culpepper with us is scary simply because we were 9-7 with Gus. But I will go over a few of your points.

1) The Minny Defense was good last year. After Culpepper went down they started winning games. His defense struggles when Culpepper turns the ball over 4 times a game like he did last year.
2) They have had a running game. Whether it is Robert Smith or running back by committee people tend to forget that just because they didn't have a premier back doesnt mean they didn't run the ball effectively.
3) I guess those stiffs that Culpepper had are the same ones that Brad Johnson torched teams with

Fact is Daunte gets the most time in the pocket out of any QB in the league. IF they can replicate that here in Miami he will be effective. The thing about Culpepper is he has the tools to work with. But he can't use those tools without help. Dan Marino could be effective even with minimal talent around him. Culpepper on the other hand cannot.

Its our defense that will tear teams up, our offense will simply put up 24+ points nearly every time. Thats all it will take.

I predict right now, even if we have to start Maddox or Lemon, that we will be an 11-12 win team. Simply because we will start out strong, drop off cus of mistakes a little and finish big with Daunte coming into the picture clearly. But make no mistake, we are so much better at this point than where we were at this point last year. So much better!

Dan Marino had Stevenson, and now I think we need to protect our investment with Nick Mangold.
