Merged:Terry Bradshaw.... is a Moron/....has a good read on Culpepper

He is a garbage QB.He was just a average QB with the best supporting cast. Not everyone should speak of football and Bradshaw is one of them.

i guess someone has to havea discenting opinion...not everybody likes it...and besides...look at who he works for

Wasn't Bradshaw a big,dumb strong armed QB with a
great reciever to throw too?

I don't think he said anything that was really offensive or anything like that. The guy just simply stating his opinion. To tell you the truth i'm not sold on Culpepper either but i'm optimistic that with good coaching he will be able to play well. All the things he said about Dante forcing balls into coeverage are true. Culpepper flat out looked like a rookie for most of the time that he played last year.

I've given up on listening to Bradshaw a long time ago. He's just there for entertainment value IMO. Great player, but ever since those 99 cent collect call commercials, he lost some respect from me just a tad bit ...

Maybe someone should e-mail him the Culpepper Manifesto and see what he thinks about that! :rolleyes2

The sky is blue too. In case anyone didnt know that either.

Terry

One good thing about Terry, he helped us draft Marino, if he had not "misrepresented" his shoulder injury Pittsburgh might have drafted Marino.

Hes not an idiot as much as he is mis informed:

The thing is we have chambers, and a better complete team package then Min had. Daunte lost 2 line man, a WR, and never had stability at RB. All of which are remedied by his exchange to miami. The fact is even in the supposed" great years" with moss he had plenty of long bobms to the other recievers as Moss got Double Coverage.

Leadership wise, never had an issue at UCF, never had any issues before the boat, suddenly he's incompetent???? I'm not saying he not guilty of making mistakes, just noting how the tide turns in the media.

As far as Terry's analysis of the injury, I don't even think tyhey had Laproscopic Knee surgery when he played, infact if daunte played back then he would have been done. According to the surgery teams at UM (Mgahee's MDs) Most ALL knee injuries with todays technology can be fully repaired. Sure there are exceptions, however as a multi million dollar athlete I'm guessing your odds for healing go significantly up !!!!!!

Terry is just spitting opinion to be opinion, not knowledgeable on todays technology or digging into the story further then the telepromter.

Isn't he right in most of what he said? How many times did he just air it out and let Moss go up and get it? Hopefully he will do the same thing with Chambers, but Culpepper does have alot to prove and I'm sure that's part of why he wanted to come to Miami. Time will tell on his injury and how fast he will be ready, but I'm looking forward to the day he does start for us and airs it out downfield.

He is stating his opinion which is fine. And we are dissecting his opinion. But his opinion was too one sided. If bringing up Moss, why didn't he take up the other side of the argument, which is how Moss did in Oakland? Especially with Kerry Collins, a qb known for his arm, and who likes to air it out, right? QB's need receivers, receivers need QB's. I think Culpepper has more weapons in Miami than he did last year in Minny. Moss received so much attention he made the other receivers better. But you still need a qb to get it to them. It takes two to tango. We have Chambers, Booker (who is capable, not the best, but you don't get 1000 yards in the NFL on any team by being crappy), ronnie and hopefully Ricky. McMike, and welker a great 3rd down receiver (except for one play I remember where he turned before catching the ball argghh, it looked like he threw the damn ball). Who did Minny have again? I can't' even remember.

watch football on Sundays and you would have known this already without even reading the article:sidelol:

Just because Bradshaw talked about DCs negative features, he's full of it ?? He has a right to his opinion...I said many of the same things about DC in the 1451 Brees vs. DC threads that were out there...some of the points Bradshaw was making are very valid...

Many people, including some doctors don't think he's going to be ready at the start of the season...I think it'll be closer to October before we see him on the field, and even then it'll be several weeks of 'playing into shape' for him...

His leadership skills should be questioned in light of the love boat thing. Good leaders shouldn't get involved in stuff like that. They should be skirting other players away from stuff like that... I'm not judging him or any of the other guys for the incident. Whatever happened is not my business and not for me to judge anyone on, but it does show a lack of responsibility as the designated leader of the team on his part...

He had a terrible year without RM this year. A lot of that can be blamed on the injuries to the OL they had, the lack of a deep threat and overall lack of talent at the WR position, perhaps even lack of good game planning and play calling from the OC this year, but the fact remains that he bombed this year.

All this doesn't take away from the positive things he brings...he has a quality NFL arm. He had (prior to the injury) good mobility and with his size, can evade pressure and tackles. He has proven he belongs with the top level of QBs in the league, but he had to do it again and get back to where he was.

Personally, I won't let the injury be a factor in determining whether or not this coming year was successful...If he plays, the knee will be sound enough that he can make the plays he made before for the most part, so the injury can't be used as blame for a poor year.

I'm happy that we have a genuine QB playing for us...best option we've had since Danny....He needs to come thru because it looks more and more like the D is going to be lacking some (at least in the secondary)...
