Ranking the AFCE QB's

Don't bother.....

Chad is better because he hands the ball off better and throws a nicer 3 yard pass (which happens to be the longest he can throw). Also, he is a better cheerleader and causes the defense to play better. Didn't you know that Chad is the reason that the Jets allowed 106 fewer points than the Vikings in 2002 and 134 fewer points in 2004. Chad's blocking is also directly responsible for Curtis Martin rushing for 1697 yards in 2004.

In 2002 the Jets were 24th in defense and Curtis Martin had the worst full year of his career barely getting over 1,000 yds. Add in the 1-4 start and what Chad did was miraculous in the toughest div in the NFL. 2004 he had the benefit of a great year from Curtis but he was still off to a great start before he got hurt and w/ a torn rotator cuff and w/ Curtis getting 66 yds(3.7) at 12-4 SD Chad guided us to victory and his 50 yd pass to Moss was a thing of beauty. The folks who say he is all dink and dunk have never watched him play. yeah he'll dump it off but he goes down the field as well, we beat yuo guys in '02 when the game was tied late int he 4th and inside our 10 he hit Coles for a near 50 yd pass which eventually set up the GW FG.

STIOP blmaing the Viking D, the Viking D was not great but we went over the games against playoff teams and whether you agree fully w/ me or not at worst you must admit the blame is about equal. The Minny D didn't score just 17 pts at Ari or 10 at Wash.

Points allowed can be skewed a bit. In 2003 we were 8th in PA and if we didn't have the worst defense in the league we were bottom 3. The problem was opposing O's held onto the ball and ran it down our throats so they weren't quick strinking and we didn't have an O to turn it over, Minny's O will score fast and turn it over alot thus giving opponents better FP and a quciker chance to score. We were 24th in total D in 2002 and started out 1-4 yet Chad led us back. In their lone matchup in '02 we only won 20-7 and daunte threw 3 picks- was that the Minny D's fault the Jets won or Daunte's?

And sometimes the defense just sucks.

2004 - 39 TDs and 11 ints. 405 points scored and 395 points allowed. 8-8 record. You want to pin the 8-8 record on the QB and not the defense? If so, there is no point debating with you. You are blinded by your bias.

Yeah...I would love to see nyjunc explain how a QB that has 39 TD's and 11 Int's is responsible for his team being 8-8 and not better.

This should be fun...or most likely....pure and utter BS.

We went through all the games against playoff teams, you know the deal. I appreciate your efforts as you are a very knowledgable poster but I think we can move along now. We just keep rehashing the same points over and over. We'll see what happens, either Daunte steps up and takes you to a title game and/or SB or he doesn't. We'll find out who is right in the next few years.

So I should explain myself(I already have, look in the search for my answer to this question) but you should never come back w/ any arguments? I give finfaninBuff alot of credit, he at least came back at me and we had a lively discussion unlike what you did.

You still have explained anything. talent is Talent. You don't seem to grasp that.

Cool.

Good luck this year.

I am looking forward to Culpepper having a great year.

What does talent have to do w/ anything? Not many, if any, QBs were more talentd than Jeff george- does that mean he was a great QB? I EXPLAINED my position, you did nothing. I give credit to the other posters who at least had well thought out counter points while you brought nothing to any of these discussions.
