Has anyone noticed that our away games are much more difficult than our home games...not to mention far less interesting too? As a season ticket holder, I am very dissapointed, while feeling the league dealt us a very unfair hand.

We're gipped out of seeing the defending champs, Indy, and probably Reggie Bush:fire:
Atleast Daunte doesn't have to play in a hostile Metrodome.
(although it would have been very interesting)

I think it will be a test. The Phins simply have to learn to win the big away games.

The league schedules opponents on a set schedule, with only two "wildcard" teams, AFC opponents finishing in the same place as us in their division, not known from year to year. You can't always get the best teams to watch at home... but sooner or later, you will.

BTW, I do agree that the Bears, Colts, and Steelers would have been much better if we had home field, but being the optimist here, I don't think it'll matter. Oh one more thing, I think you WILL see the Colts this year, when they come to Dolphin Stadium to play us in the playoffs! Ho Ho!!

Every team complains about their schedule. Fact of the matter is in the NFL nobody has an 'easy' schedule. I think given we have a lot of teams with new coaches to play, that can be a good advantage for us.

Someone who actually wanted to see the Texans?? :goof:

The Colts and Steelers are the only "interesting" away games I'd say.

The Texans and the Lions should be cup cake games. That leaves the AFC East teams, NE, NY, Buff, which are always tough games even if some of the teams are having down years. Even though Buff and NY should be very winnable games. Leaving Indy, Pitt and NE being the real challenges. If they were to lose against Indy, NE, and Pitt but go 7-1 or 6-2 at home that leaves the Phins at 12-4 or 11-5. The schedule is tough but its not that tough.

Does not matter who or where we play. The way I see it if we are going to claim to be the best you have to beat the best and its even more special if you do it on there field. Don't think of it as oh the Dolphins have to play them, Think of it as the Dolphins are going to show them who the best team really is. Besides it will only be better to face some of these teams like this on the road so in case we play them in the playoffs we will be more prepared on the road. You have to think positive not negative!

good post Skeeter, I'm with on this. Who can we possible play that is more of a threat than our own division? If we can beat NE, NY and Barfalo who do we need to fear? I'm not one for backing in, I want to TAKE the Championship. I hope the other teams fight and struggle and LOSE. Nick is teaching our boys to be dominating and relentless, wanna be the best...gotta beat the best.

i for one am glad. i will be in chicago this year and am going to drive to 5 games, and fly to buffalo like usualy so i get to see 6 games this year. one day i will watch a game from dolphin stadium.

Interesting transition for DC to the ‘Fins: He gets to play his old division and the AFC east (obviously). The scheduling Gods work in mysterious ways. All the games vs the NFC North opponents will have a little more drama especially the Vikings game.

I like the look of that schedule myself. From what I see, I would bet we finish season 13-3 this year.

OR you could look at it this way. There are a bunch of those team going SOB we gotta play the Dolphins:evil:

yeah i am just glad that we play indy in indy, cuz i will be there. most definatly. if i am feeling extra saucy i might even roll up to chicago for that game.

A few things on the schedule:

1. Detriot may be the thanksgiving game, cause miami will draw more then buffalo tv wise and thats there other afc visiting team.

2. I think we have the vikings at home in prime time, for obvious reasons

3. I think we will have one more scheduled prime time, otheres may not be scheduled due to that new rul of being able to change them in the 2nd half odf the season (unless thats not in place this year)

as far as if they are beatable here's my breakdown

Home
------
Buffalo - Easily beat-able
Green bay - Beat-able
Jacksonville - Win-able
KC - Tough Home game (more for our d )
Minny - depends on offseason but defintely win-able
NE - we can beat them
Jets - I hope to destroy them (i guess we split)
Ten - those guys are going crazy this offseason.. not as easy as iwanted it to be

All in all i think we go 5-3 at home

Away
-------
Chicago - depends on early or late season... tough game
Detriot - T giving will be tough but a win.. detriot is trying to rebuild to actually win on thursdays
Houston - Beat -able
Indy - Depends which indy shows (playoff or regular season)
Pits - Not an easy away game at all

away total 5-3

Wy do i even bother guessing... who cares this is not my final revision but entertaining to do. I believe we end up 10-6 and win the AFCE.
