Which Qb will dominate the AFC East?

I give the nod to Brady but a slight margin, but you simply cannot ignore the numbers that Culpepper has put up:

I did some analysis of career stats for QBs. I limited the comparison to the top 100 QBs in total attempts to filter out the 1 year wonders.

Here are some interesting rankings:

TDs (passing and rushing) per game:

Name TD/G
Culpepper,Daunte 2.02
Manning,Peyton 1.98
Favre,Brett 1.81
Marino,Dan 1.77
McNabb,Donovan 1.65
Garcia,Jeff 1.65
Young,Steve 1.63
Brady,Tom 1.58
Brooks,Aaron 1.56

Yds(Passing and rushing)/Game
Name Yds/G
Culpepper,Daunte 279.5
Manning,Peyton 264.5
Green,Trent 254.2
Marino,Dan 253.9
Favre,Brett 246.0
Moon,Warren 245.5
Brooks,Aaron 242.0
Fouts,Dan 240.4
Bledsoe,Drew 235.0

Yards/Attempt
Name Y/A
VanBrocklin,Norm 8.2
Young,Steve 8
Unitas,Johnny 7.8
Starr,Bart 7.8
Culpepper,Daunte 7.7
Manning,Peyton 7.7
Green,Trent 7.7
Fouts,Dan 7.7
Staubach,Roger 7.7

Completion %
Name Comp %
Culpepper,Daunte 64%
Young,Steve 64%
Manning,Peyton 64%
Montana,Joe 63%
Brady,Tom 62%
Johnson,Brad 62%
Aikman,Troy 61%
Favre,Brett 61%
Garcia,Jeff 61%

Instead of these JETs and Jills seeing the facts, they rather base their opinions on their hatred for the Dolphins. If you don't think Nick knew what he was getting in Daunte you are nuts. The facts are there..

Hey Ayuh....

Pretty weak using a graphic I made for your sig without my permission and then going one classless step further by taking my watermark off it. :fire:

I guess it would be if I had, but that sig was given to me from someone else.....without my knowledge of there being an infringement or watermark. But if it would make you feel better I can remove the sig.

I tried sending you a PM, but that requires 50 posts first.

i still think it will be tom brady even though we got daunte. daunte might not play every single game of the season so i think tom brady.

OK, I am a Dophins Gal and all, but this HAS GOT TO BE the MOST dellusional thread in history! Are you all smokin some of Ricky's wacky crack or what????:goof:

Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL, let alone in the AFC East. DC has yet to play one single game for us and we are calling him out as the best QB in our division over Tom Brady?!?!? This is so absurd and why Dolphin fans get such a bad rap!

Come on boys...see through your hatred of Brady. Sure I understand how you all hate him because he rules our division, he is the NFL golden boy, the sportsworld media darling, girls are HOT as HELL for him(sure, I admit it myself...they boy is damned hot!), and by all intense and purposes he seems to have his head on straight, he has the command and respect of his teammates and coaches and is just the best QB in the NFL over the past 5 years. I know it hurts, but it is true. System QB be damned...you have no idea what you are talking about. What system? You mean the system in 01 when the Pats won the SB with one of the worst ranked defenses in SB history. You mean the system in which Brady has only had a 'name' proven RB 04, you mean the system that he won two SB's with A. Smith as his RB - you mean the system that this past year in 05 he threw for a league lead in yards with 3 of his lineman on the IR and played with 2 rookies on his left side - all the while with his RB in an out of many games - WR's and TE's out for most games...and STILL won the division and got to the top 8 teams in the NFL? Damned good system in NE... Yeah, sure any QB could do that...morons!

I hope to hell DC can be 1/4 the QB that Tom Brady is for the Pats. Unfortuately, I have serious doubts. I think it was no coincidence that DC was on fire in 04 with Moss as his main go to guy, but in 05 he fell apart and looked dazed and confused throwing to the opponent.

Time will tell, but damned, the homerism is just plain embarrassing!:sidelol: Thanks for the laughs...

Brady is The Man as far as QBs go in the AFC East

Culpepper- might not be fully active and healthy til mid season
Harrington- Underachiver, could be a draft bust

Losman- Pretty Bad

Pennington- soemwhat accurate and good mechanics but a weak arm to begin with and now he is shot
Ramsey- First round Bust

Brady- Flat out incredible

If you want to talk about QB stats
Pepper carreer QB rating : 91.5
Brady carreer QB rating : 88.5

I'm excited about Culpepper... But for QB comparisons... You can have your QB rating.... And I'll take results in big games...

Pats fans have now resorted to posing as Dolphans GIRLS. Now that's embarrassing.

this is stupid. their is no doubt.i miss dan about as much as you can.but all this overrated love for daunte is horrible.
can anyone really say that they would want daunte over brady with the game on the line in the final 2 min. brady is a proven winner.when the pressure is on brady is at his best.he wins big games. daunte hasnt proven that he can win them.
daunte has the better physical skills but brady has the head and he doesnt crack. he also doesnt need 5 seconds to find a reciever.
to say that cpep would have won 3 sbs if was in ne,is really sad.brady has never had the weapons that daunte had.
im hoping for the best but noway can you take cpep over brady

Quick, without looking up the numbers, name the top two receivers in receptions for the Vikings in 2004..... (here is a hint, neither was Randy Moss).

I wish everyone would get off of the Randy Moss junk. Culpepper threw 26 TDs to players other than Randy Moss. He completed 330 passes to players other than Randy Moss.

Randy Moss looked very average last season. 60 receptions were his lowest in a full season in his whole career. Maybe Culpepper was the reason that Moss put up big numbers.
