why do we have 5 tight ends? I know a lot of them will be cut and such but dang. McMichael, Johnson, Rader, Holmes, and now Peelle. Who do u guys see staying and going?

IMO McMike, Peele and Johnson will make the team, Holmes will make the PS and Rader will be cut.

Staying: McMichael, Peelle, Holmes

Eventually Cut: Johnson, Rader

Johnson or Rader(most likely Johnson) may end up on the PS.

I think might Holmes stay, because he could be one hell of an H-Back (I remember him flat out leveling a DB after an interception. I thought Holmes was an O-lineman until the commentator said his name).

McMike and Peelle are a lock to make the team. Peelle is a good blocker and he is the only TE that we have that can really block well. The rest will compete for the 3rd TE spot.

One of only two. McMike pretty much gave Julius Peppers fits one on one. (That's what you get from a TE who took pointers from Houck).

Randy McMichael and Justin Peele are LOCKS in my honest opinion. I think we will only keep 3 TE's not 4, so I think the 3rd spot is up for grabs between Teyo Johnson and Alex Holmes. If Alex Holmes doesn't make the team, we will definitely sign him to the Practice Squad if nobody else picks him up.

Johnson has been in the league too long for practice squad. Whether he stays depends on how well he catches in camp versus the other TEs and WRs. If Peelle catches well, Johnson is probably gone. If Johnson catches well and a solid #4 WR doesn't emerge, Johnson could be kept and utilized more as a hybrid TE/slot receiver.

I believe that Jeff King a rookie from VT could be a solid addition....Hes got deceptive speed, good hands and is a heck of a blocker.

McMike and Teyo rotate and come in on two tight end sets in passing situations. Both are deadly threats in the air. McMike remains the starting TE, and Peele becomes a blocking specialist, and stable depth. Expect Peele to come in on 3rd/4th and short.

I think Teyo will get a chance to prove himself. He has the tools and was our first signing.
