It was a while ago when there was news that Saban wanted to address the QB situation in Miami and he wanted to make a huge addition on the OL. Well, he already got us our QB, I wouldn't consider L.J. Shelton a huge addition on the OL, do you guys think he might be waiting for the draft to do it? Or possibly a Larry Allen now?
 
I think LJ was a huge signing. We have our LT for the next 5-7 years. It is LJs spot, we are not going to draft anyone to play there.

Allen would be huge. A lot of cowgirls think he still has something left but there was a rumor that we wanted to retire a few years back but wanted one more payday which i think he got so.......

I think Shelton was a big addition. He was solid last year for the Browns and is instantly an upgrade at LT for us.

not sure b/c if u think about it, if we pick up arrington then we dont have many holes as they say our CB situation is full of young players and our S position i believe is Hill and Bell. DT is all i see left and the rest WR and OL so who knows? honestly, i see WR in rd 1
 
Considering our LT situation last year Shelton is a big signing he is a very solid LT but 5-7 might be pushing it isnt he getting old?

I still think unless a big name drops we are taking Tye Hill. WR in 1st is weak this year although I honestly wouldn't mind Santonio Holmes
 
way to much way nasty so if he would sign 1 year 500k than id love to have his nasty *** around baby!!!!!!
 
Why do people underrate the signing of Shelton? He is probably the least respected of our FA additions, yet he is an instant upgrade.

please correct me if im wrong, but from hearing people talk, i thought the browns got rid of shelton for someone better? am i right or wrong?

I agree. Culpepper was the #1 addition by far, but Shelton is arguably the second biggest addition this free agency for us. He had a very good season with the Browns last season, and he will now be coached by one of the best Oline coaches ever.

Plus, he is MASSIVE at 6-6, 345. I am very excited with the Shelton signing.

shelton is a good signing for us larry might be out of the question now that seth resigned

oline still needs alot of work, thank god we have good coaching at that position.

They tried to resign him, but could not come to terms. They actually made quite an effort. Kevin Shaffer, whom they signed, was far more expensive and didnt play much better last season.

I agree, after all our pickups in FA, we very well may go WR......I would not cry if we took the best reciever at that time, but I also would hope we traded down for another pick.
