Well there you go DB lose the weight or you'll be an amputee :roflmao:
He'll be fine by May 18th

This is not funny news. I know it's not a serious injury but the weight issue still shows there is concern about Boston's commitment to football. I know we didn't give a lot up for him but if we have only one good wideout in 2004 we will see the same crappy offensive p[lay as in 2003. WE NEED A WR NOT A FREAKIN BODY BUILDER. I hope Boston realizes this before September.

I agree with the chill part however you have to agree with me that Boston has to compromise body building for the first and foremost priority. His job which is being a WR in the NFL.

ALright yes i agree with you there he is it seems to into BodyBuilding and not his #1 job in the NFL, a WR

Guys it is still only May, Boston has a while to lose that weight. This does show why he was slow getting back to the huddle, and could be a reason for the QB's throws his way were off(Boston not being deep enough in the routes). The reporters kept talking about overthrows maybe this is a reason, I dont know I cant be there in person so I will defer to some of our luckier fans who can go to mini camp. Were alot of the overthrows to Boston? Also were they on timing routes? It just seems to make sense to me if AJ and Jay are expecting a guy with 4.3 speed and get a hobbled guy with 4.5 or so could tend to throw you off a bit.

As all the coaches and trainers know, that once they start practicing the weight will come off faster then it is now. Stop sweating this stuff guys, please. Its only going to tear up your insides and give you ulcer's.

I do question Boston's commitment to football. I think that when training camp and the season rolls around, he's all about football. But in the offseason, I don't belive he's serious. And that could end up being his ultimate downfall. If you don't train properly in the offseason, you risk injury during the regular season.

I also think that Tim Bowens will likely retire after this season. I think he ultimately lost the passion to train this offseason (gee, ya think??). And for all the effort it's going to take for him to get back in shape, I just don't see him gearing up for it again next year. He's hinted at retirement the last few seasons. But I believe next year he'll make good on it. And that means we'll be after a starting DT next year. Will be at the top of our offseason shopping list.

But back to Boston, it's ironic because 99.9% of guys who are "out of shape" are so due to laziness. Boston is "out of shape" because he's fanatical about staying in shape. Just thought it was interesting. ;)

Unless he is on some sort of cell volumizer which pumps his muscles full of water, it's going to be difficult for him to lose weight. He is legitimately 240 lbs of muscle. He's only about 4-5% body fat. When you lose weight in the summer heat, the weight that is lost is mostly water.

Yea, its kind of tough to sweat off solid muscle weight...but he'll find a way to get down to his target i think...or i hope, lol.
