As for Feeley having more physical skills than Jay

You're going to regret posting this, but I agree with what you're saying. Ryan Leaf should have taught us all that physical talent without an understanding of the game isn't enough. I don't care if Jay takes us to 16-0 by passing for 43 yards, 0 TD, and an INT every game -- the wins and losses are what count.

I'm afraid that if the passing game is that mediocre then the designated passer how no bussiness by even getting in the field.

That's the point, junior -- even if we were getting worse, it wouldn't matter if the result was wins. Would you rather win ugly or lose pretty?

You guys should be politicians. You spin things like no one I have ever seen.
Where did anyone say that all out losses are strictly Jay's fault?
In fact it has been said many times by me that he is not the only problem we have. But he is one of them.

What I and others are saying is that if you are comitted to changing the OLine because it is not good enough, and every person here is in agreement with that need, then why is Jay immune?

He is as medicore to poor a QB as Ruddy and Perry were lineman.

All the bad pieces have to go away.

Also maybe if the offense could mount a drive that lasted longer than three plays our defense wouldn't be spent by the third quarter.

We need to improve at QB, but we can only do so much at any point. Did you want Warner, Collins, Garcia, or Couch? Half of them have serious injury issues just like Jay while the other half haven't performed as well as Jay has. Change just for the sake of change without good reason to believe there will be improvement is just dumb.

Knowing where to throw it or being able to make the throw?

you can TEACH someone what the RIGHT decision is...
You can't teach TALENT....

That's a myth. There are tons of guys with incredible arms working in construction sites and tending bar. NFL teams aren't rounding them up b/c the mental side is the biggest hurdle.

The part about being able to make the throw is also laughably inaccurate. JF has some limitations but he has certainly had games where he played very well. He played well b/c he made good decisions. He made plays and limited the number of bonehead throws. The games he played badly in, he made bad decisions. That's what I want from our QB, better decisions. If he has a stronger arm great, but it's not required, better decision making is.

There are even more quarterbacks who have perfect quarterback instincts that are working in construction because they didn't have the arm strength to play in the NFL.

For every Jim Druckenmiller you can bring up, I can bring up a Steve Walsh, a Brandon Doman, and a Josh Huepel.

Jay Fiedler's lack of arm strength is the limiting factor on this offense. It's not the only problem, but it is the one problem that will always limit the offense no matter who you put around him.

He can make the best decisions in the world, but if he can't back those safeties off the line and keep them from keying on Ricky, those decisions are completely useless.

Okay, you two -- I want a survey of the QB skills of construction workers done and on my desk by Monday morning.

I honestly don't know which one of you has the better of this argument, but I think you have collectively proven that anybody who wants a career in the NFL has to present a compelling combination of the two elements whether that means strong physical skills with weaker mental skills or vice versa.

The thing that bothers me the most about JF is his good accuracy one game and bad accuracy the next four games. I can't remember the last time the dolphins offense has had a long ball completed. JF is not a bad qb to me he is just not a starter. You put Brady on our team you would see the difference. Nothing about JF scares the opposing defense there is no physical tool of JF that would have the defense guessing what to do that is why R. Williams get stuffed so much.
