Hey Brett.....have any teams contacted you late this season about a new contract for any of your clients. You don't have to say who it is if you don't want to. Just want to know if you have talked to any teams lately.

I'm constantly talking to teams on a daily basis.

What is your favorite part about being a pro football agent?

Besides getting the best tables in restaurants, probably watching my guys play on Sunday and seeing all our hard work pay off.

No offense but I think but isnt the player that make all the work for you to get the payoffs? (you getting in position to get a kings ransom for your players)

Altought I have a lot of respect for you I cannot say that from about 95% of the other sports agent (IE terrel owens situation with his agent pulling a Jerry Mcguire)

I have no problem with what you said and in many cases I agree with you. Obviously, the player is the one who does all the physical work, but a good agent should be working equally as hard behind the scenes to get his clients opportunities with teams, good contracts, marketing deals, ad infinitum...

Brett, whats the buzz about the talks about rookie signing money with the union and such. I think it would benefit the veterens and the league to limit first contracts.

I got a question for you.

In your opinion, are the majority of the players in the NFL actually passionate about winning, and playing football, or are they mainly concerned about their paycheck?

Thanks in advance. Also, I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to answer questions from us fans. You are a class act :)

Hey Brett,

I noticed Scott didn't have the chance to play in the Lions last two games of the season, are they planning on keeping him for next season?

I figured since they got him on waivers they would at least have paid him to play in some games.

I completely agree with you on those points it's just that sometimes agents get a bad rap because a couple of them stink so bad

It appears that in another year or so there could be limits on rookie contracts (depending on what happens with the Collective Bargaining Agreement). I'm fine with it because I'd rather see guys get rewarded who are proven NFL players instead of some top pick who has a chance of being a 20 million dollar bust.

Thanks so much for the compliment. 99.9% of all NFL players are insanely passionate about winning. Unlike other sports, football players can't really be selfish on the field. Even an a-hole like Terrell Owens comes to play every Sunday.

From everything I heard, he was brought in for an advance look and did a very nice job. Right now I'm not sure the Lions know what their plans are for '06 as they still need to find a new head coach.

Brett, What is the latest scope on the getting a new collective bargining agreement done? Will this cause a flood of Jr classman to declare for the draft next year in order to miss a new rookie signing cap? Also is there benefit to veteran players to not sign long term deals right now until the deal does get done. Thanks for all of your time and insights, Grady

Brett,
Just wishing you good luck on D-Macs contract/Cap issue. It was a real treat to have an effective O-line this year. I kinda feel bad when i heaped so much critism on the O-line last year, and then with almost the same personell and a new coach they played much better. Actually they were tops in the league in some stats! Kinda shows how a Good player in the wrong enviroment is inefective... So what i was wondering is do players honestly look at themselves and see where they would be the most effective? Or do they try to follow the dollar signs even if they know they wont be playing to the best of their abilities. Or do they kinda compromise on both accounts for good money and a good fit? Thanks for the Input...And D-mac: Great Year!!!
