Ask Brett Tessler

It looks like Quinn is gonna hold out to get paid higher han his slot would indicate he should get paid. Would you advise Quinn to do this if you were his agent? Also, if Quinn gets a better deal than the #21 pick, would that make the agent of the player at #21 look bad?

I don't know if your still around but I was just curious as to what kind of contract Chattman is looking for/expecting...

Yeah I am not sure if you still look at this thread or not haha but I have a question. I am intersted in possibly working as an NFL Scout or a sports agent like you but I am only 16 years old. I was wondering if you know any ways I can get started and involved in that type of job. Are there any certain classes I have to take? If so, which ones? Thanks, appreciate it.

Waaassssaaaap!

WHAT'S UP DOLFANS, ARE YOU EXCITED AS MUCH AS I AM WITH ALL THESE CHANGES. I CANT WAIT TO SEE THE RESULTS  I REALLY HOPE WE PICK UP THIS KID CHRIS LONG, HE'S A FLIPPIN MONSTER, HAVE YOU SEEN HIS FOOTAGE., ....WITH JT ON THE OTHER SIDE, DOLPHINS DEFENSE WILL RISE AGAIN!!!!!

I'm back!

To find the answers to all the questions you just asked, the best thing you can do is go back to page 1 of this thread and start reading.

Hi Brett

Any of your pupils entering the draft this year?

Being as my hands are full with veteran clients right now, I didn't do a whole lot of college recruiting this year. The one player that I did go after and sign is Gary Cismesia, the kicker from FSU who is the ACC's all-time leading kicker and nailed a 60 yarder this season!

Brett,

Are the Dolphins in the mix with Jesse? Are they interested in bringing him back?

The Dolphins have expressed interest in having Jesse return on numerous occassions, and it still could very well happen. We just need to see what happens with Free Agency over the next few weeks. Either way, Jesse is really excited about Parcells being here and we have no doubt that this team will return to the standards that everybody here is accustomed to.

Brett, do you think the dolphins are taking advantage of their cap money in a good or bad way?
It seems like they may be overpaying for some players that i have really never even seen play or even heard of before.

Hey there, Brett. Not sure if this is has been brought up before, but I would be interested to hear any thoughts you might have as to what kind of pressure/spotlight is on the agent for the number 1 overall pick in the draft. Just curious if there is a point where the agent's motives in a career-defining moment like that ever become significant factors unto themselves in negotiating the player's initial deal.

Brett, I wish you could help me with contract details for my cap pages :(

Have any of your clients talked with the Bills this FA season?

At the start of free agency nobody's cheap. When a team goes 1-15 there are obviously numerous holes to fill so the team is much better off picking up a handful of decent players who might not be household names instead of a guy like Randy Moss who will cost a fortune and won't make a difference right now. Parcells is doing it perfectly. Get a bunch of puzzle peices now, and then finish it off with the big name guys when the team is ready to go all the way in another year or two (or three).
