We are now trying to trade Wale for "a pro-bowl caliber lineman" from either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Tennesee Titans. There are several Chiefs I wouldn't mind (Shields,Roaf,Welbourne) but who on the Titans is good enough to trade for straight up?

Also, does anyone else smell something fishy going on? All this interest in OGun and all these offers are coming within a couple days of each other...create a demand to boost up your player's value....anyone else smell a certain rat behind this?

I don't think so Flurry....Drew would never use the media to try to spark more interest in a player that he is not sure is worth what he wants, oh wait he is on TV right now taking on his cell phone, must be another team offering up players and picks huh? :roflmao:

LOL for real, on Sunday he had Bowens posturing and saying how much
they need Wale, then on Monday Jacksonville and Washington are interested, then on Tuesday the Skins supposedly offer even more and
then there's a article on how we are still trying to sign him, now it's Wednesday and there are more reports.

Where did Big O get this from?

I have no idea whatsoever, my guess is Drew is feeding him crap
to generate interest and he's so desperate for an insider report to
give out because the Dolphins never tell him anything...just my guess
but he could have got it from anywhere, I'm curious if anyone else
heard it and maybe I just missed it?

I would rather keep Ogunleye, but I wouldn't be upset if we got a stud offensive linemen for him.

If we added a pro bowl caliber linemen to a line already consisting of Jeno James and young talent ridden guys such as Wade Smith and Vernon Carey, that would be great. Greta for Ricky, great for AJ and great for us. However, I wouldn't do it straight up. I would want a high draft pick next year as well. A second or perhaps a first. I think that would be fair.

The only problem with a trade like that is that we are trading a young Pro Bowl DE for an old Pro Bowl OL. If we do this trade for someone like Shields, we beter get some sort of draft pick, at least a 3rd rounder.

Brad Hopkins would be the only Pro Bowler on the Titans line I know of.

Only a tackle would be worth the price, otherwise a guard (even a real good one) just isn't valuable enough to be worth trading Ogunleye (especially if the Skins offered a 1st round pick).

If this is true, to me its an acknowledgement that Wade Smith is not ready to take on fulltime duties at LT. He has been bytched by Jason Taylor all mini-camp long according to reports (whats new, most OL are).

If its from Tennessee I would have to doubt it would be Brad Hopkins or Fred Miller...neither is the pro bowl player worthy of trading for Ogun. Zach Pillar is a very good guard, as is Benji Olsen...and one of those could be it. If its KC, I suppose it could be Roaf or Shields.

Even so this whole scenario doesn't sound all that likely. Sounds like Rosenhaus might be feeding some bad info...

Might be a good deal. A stud lineman would be awesome. Like to keep O-gun, but with the cap, you can't keep everybody and there is going to be some major money going out next year with Chambers. Stay tuned.

Agree with all points except the very last. What would it benefit Rosenhaus to say the Phins were trying to trade Ogun? The Phins would know whether that's true or not immediately. It would seem more beneficial to the Phins to leak a bogus rumor of a trade than Rosenhorse.
