Wow Big O is reporting that...

If I were after a lineman, I'd be inquiring about Brian Waters, as I believe he is the best player on that Kansas City OL. He's big and mobile at 6-2 and 318 (plays LG). And he's only 27 years old. His contract runs thru 2006 I believe. But make no mistake, he is an absolute stud......which is why he's probably be off limits.

Only a tackle would be worth the price, otherwise a guard (even a real good one) just isn't valuable enough to be worth trading Ogunleye (especially if the Skins offered a 1st round pick).

If this is true, to me its an acknowledgement that Wade Smith is not ready to take on fulltime duties at LT. He has been bytched by Jason Taylor all mini-camp long according to reports (whats new, most OL are).

If its from Tennessee I would have to doubt it would be Brad Hopkins or Fred Miller...neither is the pro bowl player worthy of trading for Ogun. Zach Pillar is a very good guard, as is Benji Olsen...and one of those could be it. If its KC, I suppose it could be Roaf or Shields.

Even so this whole scenario doesn't sound all that likely. Sounds like Rosenhaus might be feeding some bad info...

I disagree, I think it means that our golden boy is not ready...Vernon Carey.

He is a rookie and may not be ready to jump in a sa RT but could be the perfect RG.

You usually won't catch him at this hour, he was on from 5-8 am
with Howard David and also filled in for Joe Rose from 8-10 am this week...
next time you'll hear him is tommorrow with Howard I believe so let's
all call in and get to the bottom of this.

Cant, too young unfortunately

I just think it is a big waste for Wale not to sign. If he doesn't sign yes he won't have to play till the 10th game (if we let him play then) but will only make 400 something thousand dollars. If he signs 1.8 million. If moneys the concern he is wasting a whole year and alot of dough. Like Wanny said on Total Access a deal probably wouldn't get done in the next couple of weeks but he is optimistic that Wale will be here for week 1 and he just wants him to come play and then either he will get a lot of money from us or somebody else.

What's strikes me as incredibly stupid is that this is exactly the kind of thing Count Drewcula might cook up. He's dumb enough to think that Rick can't just pick up the phone and find out of those teams are actually willing to make the trade.

But how does this benefit Ogun? The only way I can see it is that he's spoken with teams that are willing to give up the $ he's looking for and wants to let the Phins know what kind of compensation the other teams are offering, but this is the kind of information he would give them privately - I just don't see the benefit in starting a bogus rumor that the Phins are seeking to trade Ogun. If it is a bogus rumor, and it was started by either camp, it would seem more likely to be designed to benefit the Phins as in a threat that we're considering trading you to team X for their player because your asking price is beyond what we can do. If you want to stay here, you'll have to fit within range Y, which we've offered you already.

I wouldn't mind a ProBowl Center from KC, our OL is still a huge ????. I would tell the Bears, Olin Kruetz and your 2nd next year and Ogun is yours.

Not that it would happen anyways, but why would the Bears have to throw in a draft pick? Olin Kreutz is a young pro bowl player too. It would be an equal trade.

Well, I doubt that it's the Titans. They do not have the cap situation that can handle O-Gun in future yrs.

Chiefs make sense because they desperately need the pass rush.

The reason being DEs are more valuable than Centers

Drew is certainly stirring the pot. There hasnt been much interest in Ogun until now except for some ridiculous low balling from Bears.Having the Redskins,Dan Snyder and now KC and Titans in the mix can only help .We already have been offered a 1st rounder plus a player.Thats the benchmark.Keep it going.

I emailed Big O about this last night and just got a reply.

I never said that. Wale is not going anywhere.

What's up Flurry??

Is FinsFlurry Drew Rosenhaus? We seem to be getting a stream of misinformation coming from him lately...

I concur (agree) :D .

Only experienced OL that I would trade OGUN for would be Orlando Pace, althought that his HIGHLY unlikely to happen because Pace is a great OL/LT, that would be the only OL I would trade OGUN for because KC and TT have old OL and that would honestly be injury trading in my eyes and it would only leave us with what we started with after the 04' draft.
