Where were you during the Meltdown in the Meadowlands?

I was watching TV and commiserating with other dolphans right here - I remember I c/not get to sleep til at least 3 ET

I spent the first half in heaven loving life. I spent the second half under the worm in the tequila bottle while applying for credit cards to pay for the upcoming therapy sessions and broken television screen.

What meltdown? There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! There was no meltdown!! :goof: :goof: :goof:

At home enjoying the first three qtrs, then watching in amazement on how they blew it. Saying God this can't be real. The next day at worked suck as I was getting blasted by the jet fans. What really amazed me was that they scored so fast concerning there were no turnovers. Darn those Jets. Redemption this year.

I remember I was at home...with the flu from hell....then it really got bad...took the next two days off...

Watching with my best friend who is a HUGE Jets fan. The first half he was pounding so many rum and cokes, trying to drown his sorrows, that he threw up mid way through the third quarter.

He is convinced it was him vomiting that turned the flow of the game. To this day he tries to throw up when the Jets get behind big. Now that's dedication.

I was at the game.

For the first three quarters I was at the very top of the stadium in the corner of the endzone. Worst seats in the house. After the 3rd everyone started funeling out so we moved up. 50 yard line, 10 rows up, right behind the Jets bench. That was the worst mistake I've ever made!! I had front row seats to watch the collapse, surrounded by the most ravid Jet fans alive......including my friend who I had ribbed for the last tree quarters. I took a beating that night......

I can only wonder what would have happened if I just stayed in the same seat

Watching at home, and I KNEW they were going to lose that game when I saw Sam Madison laughing after someone scored a TD on him (Lavernius Coles?). I said out aloud to my family - "they're going to blow this one". The Phins were out there up some humongous # of points going into the 4th, partying and laughing and I knew in my gut they were going to lose. Although my intuition was being confirmed moment by moment, I stayed up to the bitter end on the faint hope I was wrong.

Section 105 Row 1 Seats 1 & 2. With my girlfriend at the time, who was a jest fan. The first half was great. I was cheering, but fairly respectfull the Dolphins on. Not bashing the jests. At least for the first half. Then disaster struck. as bad as the game turned out to be, the fans were worse. Finally a few took pity on me and let me slink out of there.

I was staying over my sister's house. It was getting late so she & her husband had to go to sleep..and they left their bedroom door open..so I had to be quiet so I wouldn't wake them. Until the 4th qtr this was no problem. I was quietly enjoying the blowout. When everything began to fall apart, it was agonizing because I couldn't make a sound. I was twisting and turning..wanting to scream out..but I couldn't ..it was a nightmare. After Madison screwed up and let Coles score after he dropped the easy INT..I had a bad feeling things were going to fall apart.

At home Swearing off ever watching another Schwartzagger movie for saying the jets would come back to win...remember that pass to coleman on the out to the left, how it floated their like kick during a matrix movie? I have heard his arm is weaker now:(

I was @ home...my wife went to bed when it was like 30-10....I will never forget her face or reaction the next morning when I told her we lost:cry: I had the radio on listing to Mandich(had the sound on the t.v.off) and remember him saying "calamity has struck in the meadowlands" one of our darkest days as a Phinfan.
