i cant help but sit back and think that there is some kind of conspiracy to keep jay fiedler the starting qb... if you think about it.... he did nothing to win the job in the beginning, he has done nothing to convince me that he should keep the job since he has had it. the guy is terrible and the only "challenges" they ever bring in always seem to be JUST not good enough to beat him out, this feeley move was the same thing, i think fiedler knows a little secret about DW that nobody wants to let out  because no matter what happens, and even though the guy gets booed on the field, booed at autograph sessions, trashed on message boards, and dominated on the field.... hes never even in danger of losing his job.... his W/L record means nothing to me because i KNOW that we cannot win with him as the qb he is only not terrible, hes not even good. so if there is no conspiracy then why didnt we draft, trade, or sign a qb who would be serious competition and not a 3rd stringer. i hope the blackmail is over, DW needs to stand up and tell everyone he is gay so that he can bench fiedler!!!!

I only disagree with you on the AJ part. I think he will beat out Fiedler in TC. I too suspected for about 4 years now the "ackward" relationship between DW and Jay. But now that you've let the cat out of the bag with your conspiracy theory...I say bench Jay's @$$ and bring on Feeley!! :drinkers:

I totaly agree with you. For some odd reason Dave loves Jay. Unless AJ clearing beats out Jay this summer, Jay once again will be the starting QB. Jay will never lead the team to greatness, but nobody in the FO or coaches understands this. Lets hope AJ can beat him, but it would have to take a great effort this summer to do it.

Paranoia will destroya...

After the team crashed and burned over the past two seasons whever Fiedler was't playing, it is more than a little remarkable that fans still cling to the conspiracy theory that Wanny promoted Fiedler over better QBs...

:shakeno:

Fiedler will start again this season because he is better than Feeley. No conspiracy there...

What?

If you really think about the crashes the last couple years, was it Fiedler's fault? I mean 2 missed kicks last year ( and did you see are db's miss tackles like they were playin j.v. football?). The year before Ray mother@&^%$% Lucas cost us that whole season. I know Jay ain't the greatest but he makes plays when he has to and he wins. I could not believe what I saw (and I watched every game) when I watched a runningback or wide receiver get into our secondary. Our db's missed plenty of tackles.:yell: All I'm saying is stop blamin Jay guys.

The only thing Jay has over Feeley is experience. And that is a big plus for Jay. He can manage this O. He can't sustain it with his arm, that's his only down fall. Feeley probably will be able to sustain it with his arm, once he's master the O. But that comes with playing. Now the big question, if Dave's on the hot seat like you guys and media claim..what do you do as the coach, play an inexperience, but maybe more talented player, or play someone he know's can manage the game..It's a good question for this TC and an interesting one to see if Wanny puts his butt on the line with AJ.

GIVE IT A DAMN REST
MATTER FACT GIVE FIEDLER A REST
LET THE MAN DO HIS JOB
WE'LL ALL SEE IN A FEW WEEKS NOW CHILL

I believe that Wanny has confidence in Fiedler in terms of leadership and determination. Unfortunately Wanny overlooks the arm strength and accuracy factors which make Jay look so pathetic at times. We have not gotten anyone who is any better, at least not in Wanny's mind, so Jay-boy is still locked in as starter.

However, the $18 million paid to Feeley would tend to suggest that if Jay does start he will be on a rather short leash, and that Feeley will have a legitimate chance to be the starting QB.

The preseason will tell the tale, and if Jay-boy is still the starter after Feeley looks better as the QB, get the torches and pitchforks ready!!!

The fact is we need a change. i certianly hope Wanny atleast trys one. AJ plays better in games than practice i am told we will see.

I agree with most of this, except that I don't think Wanny *overlooks* Jay's arm strength and accuracy. Wanny commented at the end of this past season that QB play has got to improve, that there were no ifs, and or buts (pretty close to his exact words). Aside from this point, I agree with you whole heartedly.

I definitely think the idea that an NFL coach would have some sort of *conspiracy* with anyone to start a lesser QB when he knew it would hinder the team's advancement is absolutely ludicrous.

.........And the team will either barely make the playoffs and get blown out in the first round, or more than likely not even make the playoffs.
Carefull what you wish for.

Fiedler has been given a break, over and over again. How long do YOU plan on waitting for Fiedler to act like a pro? Jay is only good for six games a year, or in other words he's a backup, not a starter. We need Jay to give us a rest and stay where he belongs down the depth chart. I will agree with you, we will see in a few weeks. I for one will say Jay will not be on this team next year, and if he is it will be in a very limited roll. Jay is on his way out. :)
