Miami SB Odds finally improve

If anyone truly understands how the Vegas lines are established I would appreciate some insight. I thought one line controlled all the odds across the sports books. I just got back from Las Vegas yesterday. Monday the 12th at Ceasars Palace I got 18-1 odds on the Dolphins to win the Superbowl (I really like those odds, had to place a bet). That same day I was at the Imperial Palace and saw them at 7-1. Can anyone explain that?
how much u bet, if u dont mind me askin?

Not that anyone asked my advice, but it's a good policy never to bet on your favorite teams. Maybe you're different, but for me, I find that my personal feelings sometimes cloud my judgment.

What is happening with Tampa and Dallas? They both had 5 point swings. Tampa went up and big D went down!!

Isn't that crazy?

Here we are with pretty decent SB odds, but Mortenson says we will miss the playoffs and some other magazine has us 6-10.

God, can the season start so we can shut these idiots up? WE WILL BE GOOD.

Go Fins

Right now, I have no idea how our guys are going to be. We could be anything from 6-10 (Boston goes crazy, in a bad way; OL doesn't come together; defense gets old all at once; QB sucks) to 13-3 (Boston finds 2001 form; Feeley is what Speilman thinks he is; defense continues to dominate; OL jels earlier than expected). I'm going with 10-6 because that's about halfway.

For what it's worth, The Sporting News football mag (a *MUST* buy, though they've cut down their content a little) picked us to win the AFC East.

I have all the NFL preview mags, and Sporting News is by far the best. I agree.

I think Boston has already shown he will be back to his old form. The o-line CANNOT be worse than last year, and we still went 10-6. Competition will bring out the best in whoever wins the QB job.

I say 11-5 or hopefully 12-4. We've only improved over last year's roster, we should be better!!

Of course, all this under the radar stuff could just mean that us dolfans are denying whats so obvious to everyone else...

$50 @ 12-1, and $25 @ 18-1 from 2 separate trips. I don't mind betting on my favorite team espeicially when the odds are that good. I truly believe the dolphins have a shot this year and now if they do get to the superbowl I can go, banking on the fact that I will make money when they win. That money would pay for the trip to Jacksonville.

My thoughts exactly! We struggled to a 10-6 record because we had half a team. Just a small improvememt in the Oline wins another game our two.

We have a good shot this year. A real good shot...
