Jakeem Grant vs. Omar Kelly

Caroo did have the impressive TD a few weeks back. What has Scott contributed? Grant has been up and down. Couple of nice returns and then a fumble. He does need to do more as an offensive player....

who would you bench to get caroo on the field? stills? landry? parker? you gotta be a special teams guy if you're fourth on the WR depth chart. Grant is active on special teams, and so it scott.

I for one am surprised at how excited Omar has been by the team's success. He's put out tons of positive tweets and stories since the team has been successful. It makes me believe when he says that he calls it like he sees it.

In regards to Grant, he makes himself look like an idiot here. You haven't been performing well and a member of the media (who's job it is to critique you) has said as much; what's the problem. Don't get mad because you're on thin ice, it's a fact.

Besides noone is scared of all 5'7 of Jakeem Grant. It would be funny if he challenged Omar and Omar beat him down lol.

I don't think it's as much of a problem with what Kelly says as it is the way he says it. It's Kelly's job to stir the fan base... that's what he does and that's what the paper wants him to do. He's not a reporter he's a columnist and giving his opinion is part of the gig. If people have followed Grant at all it's clear that he uses outsiders opinions to fuel his drive to succeed, so I wouldn't make much negative out of his response.

I saw the tweet and the subsequent video that sparked all of this and it didn't seem that bad to me when I saw it. Looked like typical Omar giving his opinion without filter. Seems to me that Grant is more upset at himself and his performance and wants to release that aggression somewhere. But hey, the kid is 24 years old, he clearly has some maturing to do.

He's not a columnist. He's a beat reporter.

Maybe Grant should focus on not bobbling the ball on EVERY punt return opportunity.

Drake better work on fielding punts. Drake could be the most dangerous return man in the NFL next year if Grant can't learn to catch

He is mostly a beat reporter but he also has a column. A columnist could be any random Joe that has an opinion on the team, whereas beat reporters have full access to the team's media activities. Most sports beat reporters are also "columnists."

He put up record numbers in college, he's no slouch as a receiver and hasn't shown issues with his hands in the receiving aspect.
You must be thinking back to receptions he may have made in preseason, because he doesn't have any catches in the regular season. I said it a couple weeks ago, have him return KOs, but we can't afford to have him muffing punts this time of the year.

He's a developmental receiver who was drafted as return man first ,

Where exactly has he gone wrong ? I don't seem why Omar Kelly is focusing on this guy so much . He's not the first or last guy to muff a punt .

Omar just came on 560 now and went off about Grant and how useless he is .

Omar is a tool . Always will be .
