Cutler emotion

crazy question, would you trade Tannehill for a 2nd and bring back Cutler as the starter next year?

we are trying to win in spite of the qb play and we are talking about bringing said qbs back

not only no but hell no

I've watched a lot of Cutler's pro games (too many, honestly) and I would agree that he played his finest game as a pro in just about every way last night.

He played with poise, fire, courage, and smarts. The only knock I got on him is that his arm is shot, and he can't throw the football worth a damn anymore. If he still had a live arm, we would have scored 50 points last night.
Cutler can't throw the ball worth a damn?

SMDH....

Consistency is the key....anybody can be a single game hero, but the true test of a good player is: can they play well every Sunday?. No doubt, Cutler was fired up against the Pats and had one of the best games of his career.... but can he keep this momentum going for next sunday?....stay tuned.

i cant imagine cutler having any inclination to upend his retirement to serve as a team's backup...going thru TC, practice, being ready every sunday just to make a few mil he doesn't need....nah don't see it. draft a qb and let him be the backup.

Cutler has always cared, he just doesn't check the boxes people expect football players to check in that regard. Just think of him as you're weird uncle. No, you don't understand him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care

As a Bears follower, all I can say is that I've seen this before...doesn't mean that it will carry over to the next game.

I've often wondered if his changes in demeanor and energy are at all related to his diabetes.

Funny, I mentioned on this board when we first got him that I didn't want him due to his lack of "passion" and no fire. Several comments came back saying passion / desire / fire is overrated or doesn't matter.

He shows moxie last night for the first time all season, wins the game, and now we think showing balls is a good thing?

I've had several diabetic patients never had a single one mention depression and their diabetes in the same breath. Several get mad at the effects of the disease

That's the biggest variable every game for Miami. How will Cutler play?

There are times when he looks like a Hall of Fame quarterback like he did against New England. He has maybe four of those games a season. Then there are games where he looks like a bottom-tier quarterback. We've seen enough of those as well.

But, yes I did love seeing the emotion. The Patriot game was obviously important to him.
