Build Around Tannehill Or Make A Move At Quarterback?

My side of the fence is the Miami Dolphins, I want them to be successful. If tannehill or Gase or Tannenbaum can get us there great if not than replace them.

Let's try to keep this related to the topic at hand. I'm sure you realize the fence I was referring to is if RT is good or not. Let's show some respect to one another and not try to spin this as only some of us wants whats best for the team. We just have different ideas on how to accomplish that.

what was people expecting from dak in yr2. two yr he have played. two winning season. Dallas main problems is they think they have superbowl team every yr. dak is young qb in nfl. they will be in playoff next yr. dak have more pressure to win than thill17 have. being qb in dallas and 49ers is not easy. lot of great qb in past
I think you need to research dolphin history.

I know what you meant I’m just not part of that on going debate...I argue for him and against him...I’ve been called a tannehater and a tannelover in the same thread I believe . He’s got 2018 to show me what he can do before I make my final judgement.

I'm the same way. I can see the good in him but growing impatient waiting on the final results.

I got you. That is definitely a reasonable approach.

Wilson had 5 playoff games with a passer rating over 100 in those first 4 years and 2 ended being losses due to your excellent team. Sorry but that is much better than average.

To bad you can't follow your own advice. No substance to your response in above post, easily disputed, really just an attempt to move the conversation in your direction. When facts are brought about these deficiencies you simply discount them as non-fact. What's the point?

He also had wins with passer ratings of 67, 44, 63 in the same 4 years. He threw more than 25 passes in zero of the playoff wins with a passer rating above 100. Never denied that Wilson can be efficient when the focus is on stopping the run. Seattle has an excellent record when they run the ball more often that they throw it.

I don’t think you realize that you’re just as extreme as the “Tannehaters”, (for lack of a better term) just on the other end of the spectrum. The actual truth is somewhere in the middle but you are so convinced Ryan Tannehill is the second coming of Joe Montana you fail to see that you could be wrong.

Why is this always the strawman argument brought up? It is ****ING BULLSHIT. I challenge you to find ONE POST where I said Tannehill was elite. Quite the opposite is true.

People can formulate opinions about Ryan Tannehill without digging through his high school stats, Russ Wilsons YPA, Dak Prescott’s this or that, Mariota’s haircut etc....and just watch his play and see there still leaves a lot to be desired.

Oh and can’t forget IMO since this is a message board and all.

So, in other words, just make **** up. I know that's what happens but you're the first to admit it.

What I don't understand is why don't I see you post 1000's of comments pointing out the problems with the OL. I'm way past impatient on that getting fixed.

Ok. So you want the QB to accept total responsibility for teams wins or losses or you find that sickening.

If that's your point of view then there is no reasonable response because every coach I know would tell you that it isn't that simple.

Because we have spent a ton of resources trying to fix that said line. 7 draft picks on Line since we drafted Ryan with 5 of them being in the first 3 rounds. While at QB we have invested one 7th round pick. We also brought in some of the top free agents (BA) and many other free agent lineman.
Issue is still there. But the QB could be part of the problem IMO.

The Seahawks didn't have a power running game before they drafted Russel Wilson. Despite having Lynch rushing for 1200 yards they were still ranked in the bottom of league at rushing the football. Insert a different QB and all of sudden that line can block the running game. QB does make a difference. A single lineman not so much.

It’s the sheer volume of the way you defend him. You are in every thread holding everyone in the Dolphins organization accountable except 17. You have stats that compare him to the games best. I can’t help but to think you see him as elite or close to it.

LOL. They can either block or not. How many failed picks we have used is irrelevant.

Are you personally satisfied with the performance of the OL or not?

This article documents the play of that "fixed" OL against the Titans in 2016. http://slicemiami.com/2016/10/10/ryan-tannehill-miami-dolphins-hope/

Open your eyes and LOOK at the plays, then come back and tell me that the draft picks and FA acquisitions did their job. BTW, two of those draft picks were cut after that game. After that Tannehill had an average passer rating of over 100 for the rest of the season. It's a MIRACLE!

Despite Lynch rushing for 1200 yards and 12 TDs (in 15 games), they didn't have a power running game......... LOL...... With a total crap QB (Tavaras Jackson) that couldn't punish a defense for selling out against the run. LOL.

Well that's on you then because I have stated he isn't many many times. Since you're tracking my posts about Tannehill, I'm sure you must have seen them.

25th in the league in yards per rush before Wilson. Top running game after Wilson arrives and adds his 500 plus rushing yards and 30 plus rushing first downs. Actually Wilson hitting those deep throws (7 TD's) opened it up so Lynch could average 5 yard per carry for his only time in his career.
