2018 Stadium Updates

Interesting the way they put the field down and how it looks.

Here's a link to the camera if anyone wants to take a look. It only shows the last 24 hours. Not as good as the one they had up for renovations.

New turf installed, looks great. One issue. Here are the list of events before we open the season vs Tennessee....

7/26: ICC Womens Soccer doubleheader
7/28: Munich vs Man U
7/29: ICC Womens 3rd place and Championship games
7/31: Man U vs Real Madrid
8/9: Dolphins vs Tampa Bay
8/18: Taylor Swift concert
8/25: Dolphins vs Ravens
8/31: Jay-Z & Beyonce concert
9/7: Colombia vs Venezuela
9/8: Canes vs Savannah State

9/9: Dolphins vs Titans

Look at that sandwich of events before the first game. You have to think that a new field will be put down, again, after the Jay-Z & Beyonce concert on 8/31. Then to have a soccer game, a college game and then an NFL game on a new turf in the span of 3 days....no way it holds up. Especially if the weather is bad.

It’s ridiculous. Too many ****ing events.

the stadium is making serious money and bringing in world class events as told by Ross..these events would not of come to the old place..

remember when state bureaucrats said no to new renovations, dum asses are now benefitting from his vision and making a lot more money for this city..

remember the fans who voted against it..silly.

Especially soccer. They want to put a bid in for 2026.

With the canopy and actually moving the lower bowl closer to the field, which is something that I’ve been lobbying for for years, and the screens, it’s really a very cool venue..

Won't personally impact me, but yeah it might not be good for the team.

You couldn't really move the North sideline closer because of the Marlins. Once they were gone for sure it became a no brainer.

This isn't accurate. The parking lot is utilized a lot in the off season. One example is Cirque de Soleil sets up for 2-3 months in the parking lot. I was actually wondering what will happen to the show now. There are also many events at the stadium throughout the year, concerts and soccer, etc.
To me that's were the tennis courts should have been moved to, not taking out all of you parking on the southside!
