Neither really. Rosier is on a short leash this season plus with the new rule freshmen can play up to 4 games and still red shirt so talented freshman Williams will see action and Perry plus Weldon will be in wait if (when) Rosier has a shitty half.
I'm guessing he starts at LSU because of the experience and Richt wants to help build his confidence by saying he's the guy but unlike last year there are good QB's to step in if he shits a brick.
Last year there were really no options after Rosier. That has changed for the good.

Come get some brother . You've got a good D but we are loaded this year.

Dave Aranda and my Bayou Bengals are salivating

This is a key game for both teams and with it being the first game of the season, you just never know. I would have liked to seen this one in week 3 at the earliest.

With that being said, if we win this one then on paper we should be able to go undefeated up to the ACC championship game. If we somehow lose to LSU then it is a tough road to move up in the ranking with the lack of competition on our schedule.

Then again we have the Rosier factor so nothing is certain.

Paradise camp is over and we got 6 new recruits. Only one in 2019 but 3 for 2020 where we have the #1 class so far and one from 2021

Interesting criteria they're using to determine the best college team ever. I probably wouldn't let average margin of victory factor into a debate like that without accounting for SOS, while also factoring in how early these Alabama teams of late have pulled their starters when up 5 scores by halftime.

The 2017 Alabama roster is most likely going to shatter those benchmarks. There's going to be anywhere from 18-21 guys on that roster that will have been 1st round picks, and over 40 guys that will have been draft picks.

Alabama played 6 true freshman in the 2nd half of the National Championship Game vs. Georgia that led the comeback.

The running tally on the 2017 Bama roster as it sits - Four 1st rounders and 12 players drafted overall. Check back in 3 years Shannon and Skip...

Only an Alabama fan would argue that they were better teams then that Hurricanes team lol so much first round talent and nearly everyone was drafted. 38?! Come on lol

I don't see the Texas and UF team being ranked above us for the reasons Shannon explained.
Maybe Alabama will go undefeated and win another title plus sent all those guys to the pros with multiple first round picks and be in the conversation. Maybe not. We shall see.

Nick, do you ever bring any facts to a debate? Honest question...

Do you have any idea how many rosters Saban has already had at Alabama that had over 30 players drafted from it?
