Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan (52) is helped up after blowing out his knee in a preseason game against Atlanta on Aug. 10, 2017. Photo: Allen Eyestone/The Palm Beach Post

Raekwon McMillan walked off the field after the Dolphins’ scrimmage Saturday.
That counts as a victory.
McMillan, a linebacker, couldn’t help but reflect on the last time he stepped onto the Hard Rock Stadium field. It was his first play in an NFL uniform, on punt coverage. He blew out his right knee, ending his rookie season before it started.

Really unfortunate that happened, glad to see the kid is back healthy and ready to play.

Really unfortunate title given the current climate in the NFL.

It's hard to think of a more important piece on D. X for sure and then it gets dicey. Stay healthy big guy.

can't wait to see him in game action...I think he is going to be better than we even hoped!! (yes, I'm a homer)

It was like a gut punch when he went down on the first play, of his first preseason game, of his first year being in the league. That combined with the QB situation, the Timmons incident, and the total disregard to the OG position in the draft, I knew what once a hopeful look at the future was now a stare into the abyss. Here is to hoping that we can get through the preseason and regular season without any catastrophes. Because if we can, I think we will blow the media predictions out of the water.
