Wow, We're already starting would you "tank" the season if.....Threads?

Unbelievable!
Not so much tank. Just what would be acceptable. If the offense really takes off is that good enough, as an example, to convince you that Gase and the team are moving ahead in the right direction? Even if say the team only goes 8-8 or 7-9.

The way our defense has played and their inability to stop people combined with the offenses inability to score points, I see us winning four games. We play too many teams that can put up points in bunches. I doubt we can keep up.
That is my fear, although again I don't want to put too much into preseason. My gut says the offense will have to carry the team. I'm not sure what to expect from the defense. Miami could have a nice pass rush, but that won't matter if the team gets off to slow starts. The Dolphins have to be the team to jump on opponents and not the other way around.

I'm tired of down years. I put offense top10 because I think that would solve a lot of our problems, and I'm actually feeling OK about the defense we field.

This year is more about seeing what Tannehill can do coming back from injury with Gase's scheme.

It seems like every year since Marino retired, I would look at a season as being successful if either the defense or offense somehow looked like they were good. And for several seasons while JJ and Wanny were here the defense came through, giving Miami a chance at the playoffs on several occasions. To be honest I just want a winning season. But after the 5 game losing streak last season, where everything fell apart, I've lost faith in the entire organization. It be nice to finally field a competent team. But I'm not banking on it with these clowns.

NFL fanbases are so watered down nowdays that teams don't have to win anymore for owners to make money. They feel like winners no matter what. There's very few fans left that are only all about the football. The reality is, a lot of people wouldn't even watch or keep up with the NFL if it wasn't for fantasy football.

All they have to do now is trot out 2 or 3 different uniform combinations, redesign the logos, change up the color scheme a little bit, sign one or two players nobody else wanted, and pipe in some awful music to keep fans of poorly run franchises interested. It works like a charm.

If you think Ross is content with being average or just making money you are watered down. He would do anything to make this organization a champ if it’s 180 million of his own cash for the stadium or signing a guy like suh. He just hasn’t found a good football mind to run the show.

He tried to get all the poor people that live around the stadium to pay for it but that got rejected because they're already stuck with paying for their shitty baseball team. He pitched a bitch about it too. And this is all for his stadium that he profits from ... which was falling apart ... to get a SB bid ... so he could make more money.

And then Suh ... a signing that never made sense that was mishandled from jump street.

And who needs a great football mind when you're going strong on year 4 of Mike Tannenbaum?

Ross is a flat out buffoon (when it comes to football) who doesn't have any business owning a football team. Exactly zero of his decisions have resulted in his team improving.

I wouldn't expect any other reply from a grown man wearing a jersey. How many of those have you bought...

I mean - the prosecution rests your honor.

It doesn't matter if he wants to win. Only thing that matters is if he can win. And if he does win.

Hell I want to win the Masters. But I doubt the Chairman at Augusta has to worry about having a green jacket that'll fit me.

I feel like the thread title and the poll don't work together. Anyways, I voted "Playoffs or Bust". Top XX offense/defense, I could care less about if it doesn't translate into winning.

We are that good we don't have to practice plays over 6 yards in preseason. Our playbook and all our secret mega scoring plays will not be unleashed before the season starts. We will surprise everybody and put 40 burgers up in every game. So I heard, so I read. I am ready to buy playoff tickets now.

I’m not saying he is good at it as he has obviously hired some idiots, but he would do anything to win. This isn’t The Chargers where the owner won’t give the football people the resources to win. The resources are there if we could ever lure a good front office guy to Miami.

You are mad that people buy jerseys yet you spend hours on a message board devoted to the 1% of finstics who don’t get enough Dolphin football from the games, newspapers, and other media coverage? This is the anger that builds from 40 years of no super bowl wins.

Your diatribe was funnier when I saw it in Trainwreck and Amy Schumer said it, years ago. I still don’t understand what buying a jersey has to do with Ross not giving this team the resources to win.

I agree on that front but I'd rather someone who knows how to win rather than someone who really wants to. He's just not a football guy so he's susceptible to conmen like Tbaum weaseling their way in the door and ****ing everything up. Hiring idiots is one thing ... letting them linger is quite another.
