Jets Open As One Point Favorite Versus Dolphins

Jets look decent for the first Qtr, Stafford looks like the rookie.
 
Based on what I am seeing the Jets oline looks good. We didn't put a lot of pressure on Tennessee so if we let their rookie quarterback get the time he is getting tonight. It could be a long day for us. The Jets have a good defense. It's going to be a tough game.
 
Now the Jets offense is looking NY Jetish, the running back out of position, Darnold directing them where to set.
 
The bad and the good so far for a 21 year old rookie QB starting on the road on Monday Night Football.

Bad = Pick 6 throwing across the field on first play and one sack in which he should have thrown the ball away.

Good = Not overwhelmed by the moment or throwing the pick 6. Jets have converted 5 of 8, 3rd downs, good pocket presence to convert a 3rd down in the red zone, gotten into a groove throwing and kid has a cannon.

Miami will need to capitalize on his mistakes to win on the road as Jets are playing solid as a team.
 
Todd Bowles is an excellent coach.

Darnold has a ways to go, but he has a big advantage tonight with Detroit having no idea what to expect out of their play calling.
 
The game worries me. We should annihilate Darnold, but we have made scrubinis look like Hall of Famers far too many times in the past to take anything for granted.
 
First being a long time fan regardless of records of either team the Jets Dolphins series is one of the toughest to ever predict. Still I expect us to win this game and the Raiders game too. To reach that 10 6 record that I have been pushing these games gotta go in the win column cause the next 7 wins are going to be tougher to come by.

So you think we should have kept him then?
 
Close call for Stafford he got his knee slightly bent backwards by one of his linemen. (Possibly kicked in the knee)but doesn't want medical attention prior to the 2:00 min warning. Jets look horrible on 1st down and 2nd down they are beating themselves. This game is ugly for both offenses.

Darnold just threw his first TD as a pro 41yds. 1:51 before the half.
 
Jets lost CB Trumaine Johnson and CB Buster Skrine in the same defensive series. Both are out.
