Josh Gordon

Too many on here just simply fixate on talent. Everybody realizes that Gordon has phenomenal talent but there is incredible risk that goes along with it. Year after year, the one constant in this equation is that he screws up by relapsing. Frankly, I'm not prepared to waste the coaches and GM's time and the effort in the hope of rehabilitating him. Cleveland has been incredibly patient to give him chance after chance after chance. Now let another team do it. High risk, high reward.

Look...I'm all for the culture change.

But does Josh Gordon really pose a risk to the locker room??? He only does damage to himself. He isn't a selfish headcase diva. He isn't an asshole. He is a guy who struggles with anxiety/depression/drugs. If he fails the team when they NEED him...then sure he comes Ricky Williams 2.0....but we wouldn't be relying on him like we were Williams.

He wouldn't come in and take over the WR's and be the #1...it would take many games before we put that kind of trust in him. IF we put that trust in him I'd say he earned it.

Would he pose a risk by taking snaps/targets away from our WRs? Would that do it? No...I'm not buying it. They made the roster this year...this isn't training camp. These players want to win. I think they'd welcome a talent like him.

And at the end of the day there is virtually NO risk...unless of course we traded something for him...but I definitely don't see us doing that. If he screws up again he'd be out of the league permanently. So he can only wrong us ONCE!!!! And it would be at literally NO COST...so why not?

For free...minimum salary...and nothing to lose??? I would do it. Cut him in a week if he acts up. So what? But why not take a chance?

A change of scenery can do wonders for the mind.

Too many red flags to bring him in here....plus, Gase trades away playmakers, he doesn't bring them in.

Well all reports seem to indicate that hes gonna end up being traded anyway...but just think.

Just having Gordon available on the team...even if he didn't play a full season and didn't play a ton of snaps...it would make teams have to prepare for him. He creates so many concerns...

Us for example:

Gordon/Stills as deep threats on opposite sides? With all our speedsters to play underneath?

Gordon/Gesicki/Parker in the redzone? Holy ****.

At 800,000 with him being a RFA next year? Its a no brainer.

I bet tons of teams will be trying to get him.

Slept on it, and still say yes.

Dude gets drug tested so often that it’s impossible for him to get back on smoking. He probably told the Cleveland FO and coaches he didn’t want to play for the team anymore.

**** happens, but don’t make it abou drugs or relapsing. Dude smoked weed. Who cares.

Cleveland gave him all the chances a player could ask for. They stood by the kid and continued to give him a clean slate and a fresh start. This guy has proved that his addiction will always derail his shot at an NFL career. He failed in Cleveland and he'll fail where ever he goes until he truly faces the addiction and gets a bunch of clean time. This guy is a ticking time bomb. Do I want him on the Dolphins? No!!!!!!!!

It doesn’t appear you have ever had any family members with mental health issues or substance abuse/dependency.
He needs a lot more than a change of scenery.

Actually I am diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and ptsd...from Afghanistan. I just smoked now...so maybe that makes me biased and I proved your point by saying I smoked, haha, but I'd like to think that if I had the chance to make millions of dollars and I was put into a better place (change of scenery), surrounded by better staff and players...it might do me good.

When I moved to Hawaii my life changed. I'm not doing exceptionally well or anything but I know I'm better than where I was. So I think my first hand knowledge is something to consider.

I wish you well. I can tell you personally from a family members perspective it’s an emotional roller coaster,
Gordon needs to want to change his life. He’s in a different situation than you or I. He’s in a well compensated professsion and a league that has offered him help over and over again and he has refused; Cris Carter has stated it and he is a guy who nearly derailed his career early on due to substance abuse.

Honestly? The answer is yes if you can answer this question. Do you think Miami has the people within the organization in place to help Josh Gordon? If you think we have the players, coaches, and management to help Josh Gordon out off the field then you don't think twice about signing him. If you don't think so then no. I think it's quite obvious that Gordon needs a lot of help still and that is understandable as the demons he deals with are a constant battle. Josh's first priority should be his health but I think at this point he needs football as well. Despite the Browns' rebuilding effort I don't think they ever had a strong infrastructure to help Josh Gordon, and even now I don't think they have the locker room to help him.

The report is he wasn’t high just got injured doing a photo shoot. I would love Flash in aqua and orange!
