Tannehill Sucked Today

I root for Ryan as long as he our QB, and want him to succeed, but have never been a big fan. That being said, this isn’t the day to hate on him. We just won a road division game against a very tough defense. When it matterd most at the end of the game he iced the game by picking up a 3rd and 19, and 2 other first downs with his legs. You can say it was defensive win, but if he doesn’t convert 3 td drives in the first half the Jets offense wouldn’t have been 1 dimensional in the 2nd half. He is 9-1 in his last 10 starts. Enjoy this!
 
as other have said, Ryan needs to play better for us to compete at the next level -- especially against a formidable opposing O. But the kid is a gamer -- and had a few big + plays like his opening run and the TD to TE (his best pass of the day). It's the sudden outburst of WTF he needs to avoid and somehow ramp up his processing and decision making... Seems he has to lock in (which takes time) as opposed to just BAM getting the ball out fast... He looks a tad "heavy" on his feet to me??? Probably just been watching too many Marino highlights lately so maybe my reference point is off... But no he didn't suck. But Gore sure helped snagging that pass 1 inch off the grass!
 
He definitely wasn't at his best but give the Jets credit for making life uncomfortable for him.

Thing that has impressed me the most is we're 2-0 and the offense hasn't even clicked yet. When it does this is going to be a difficult team to beat
 
What was the play where the pocket was a shambles all around him, and Ryan stepped up through the pocket and delivered a strike? I thought he was going to be grabbed as moved toward the line of scrimmage through what looked like 17 Jet defenders. There was horrid pass protection today a lot of the time.
 
I hope Tannehill sucks this much next week, He rushed for more yards than Crowell, Powell, and Darnold combined.

That's only 74% completion! Pfft!
 
Tannehill so far is what he's always been inconsistent. I don't believe he's played elite nor did he suck today. Some people will say it's rust but Tannehill has always been a tale of good stretches and bad stretches.

Through 2 games in the 1st half he has completed 82.1% of his passes for 207 yds and 3 td's to 0 ints and a QB rating of 133.2.
Through 2 games in the 2nd half he has completed 60.9% of his passes for 191 yards 1 TD to 2 ints and a QB rating of 65.7.

Any issues last week might have been rust (when he had decent protection). Any issues this week were primarily due to no pass protection. Go back and watch the game, you will see how many dropbacks he was facing the pass rush. He probably doesn't want to have to piss blood anymore at this stage of his career.
