The Significance Of This Game Is Enormous

I too believe this is a huge game. I'd argue this is the biggest Dolphin game in years. Are we going to flop and continue to show our mediocrity? Are we going to prove to the national media that we don't deserve respect? Or are we finally going to a win a tough one.

Crazy though, the Pats win and they're 2-2. Last year they were also 2-2 and went to the Super Bowl. You gotta think they'll turn it on at some point which makes this game even bigger for us. Get them before the lights turn on for them

Absolutely! Foot on their throat Sunday! If we win, it will destroy their morale.

I’m afraid this place is gonna lose its marbles if we lose this game cause people are putting so much on it.

And yeah that would be great to go into Foxboro and come out with a w.

But to stay on schedule we just need to win one out of the next two.

And I think people also need to consider when miami has beaten the patriots of late Gronk has been out either suspended or injured. Robo cop suits up Sunday. And he’s a much bigger problem than Marshawn Lynch.

I do love the new found team speed adds on defense in baker and minkah. They were much needed.

Division game in foxborough, im not very optimistic but I believe this is as good a time as ever to get the W up there...

While I really appreciate the OP's enthusiasm, IMO opinion the only way this game is "huge", is if we have a sizable win or a humiliating loss. If it's the former, well... warp speed on the hype train. The latter... same old Phins. But if it's close, and we win... it's very impressive, but we've seen similar Septembers from the Pats before, and we'll see how the season goes. If we lose a close one, and the spotlight doesn't seem too bright, we don't kill ourselves with a ton of dumb penalties, blown assignments, poor effort, yada yada... I'll still be proud. We'll still have a 1 game lead, play them on our turf later in the year, and...

...we're on to Cincinnati.

It's the 4th game of the season.

The fact of the matter is, if we win this game, we will be up 3 games on NE for the division lead. While that's not insurmountable for a team like NE, it sure gives us a decisive advantage going forward.

Hi all, the anticipation of this upcoming game has caused me to watch numerous videos and scour the web for discussions of this game. In my search, I found this forum and thought I would give my input.

Think about the patriots dynasty for a minute. If you’re a dolphins fan then most likly the years have sort of blurred together. 15 years of mediocracy. 15 years of being humiliated, disrespected, and for good reason. 15 years of pain.

I remember these past few years having hope once again only for it to be decimated by injuries, coaches, scandals, and every other form of destruction that can overtake a team.

The patriots once again seem weak and vulnerable. However, remember for a second the countless times we have believed this before, only to be wrong, over and over again.

This game signifies so much. This is the best opportunity we have had since the dynasty began to make a statement.

A win and the dynasty is over, a new era begins, we become relevant once again.

A loss and the seemingly never ending dynasty continues, nothing changes, we are nothing.

Anyone who believes this game is an easy win for the dolphins is wrong. This will be one of the hardest games to win we have ever played.

As of now the patriots are still the patriots and we are still the dolphins. Change my mind Gase. A loss, any loss, is a failure. A win is glorious. There is no in between.
I agree. This is the biggest game in almost 20 years. A real statement game

Anyone who says this game isnt huge, is wrong. Win and your 3 up on the 2nd best team in the division. We have to play well on Defense. Put pressure on Brady and force him to move around. If we cant, were in trouble.

This is the type of game that tells you about the team the Phins are building. I know winning this game doesn't mean the witch is dead. And I know lucky bounces and lucky referees can throw monkey wrenches into the Phins plans. But going in and doing everything to destroy them, tells alot about the Dolphins makeup. Situational awareness, talent, maturity, heart, killer instinct, etc.....etc.....

I believe this isn’t a chance to strike a knockout blow as much as it is a chance to win an important round with a knockdown. Sort of a 10-8 as opposed to a 10-9 or the opposite (as in other years when they’ve had the better record). They can still 10-9 us though. Let’s keep this in perspective. There’s a LOT of football left to play, even after this game.
