I Don’t Buy It. Not A Bit.

Forget the refs. Gase is the worst playcaller in the league

I stayed up for that?

I finished watching Ryder Cup at 4 AM and decided to turn on the Dolphins tape subsequently instead of waiting until Monday. I had no idea of any scores.

I have to say it didn't look like we tried offensively in the first half. But then again, most first halves it doesn't look like we try offensively.

Gase has far too much faith in the second half comebacks, largely because he's been unusually and fortunately successful far more than his share.

Tannehill needs to be trusted with aggressive darts over the middle and the occasional downfield throw, more often than the garbage sideways and underneath junk. Every week on our opening drive it seems like the goal is a punt from midfield.

Everybody could read Belichick's lips at least three times after the McCain sit down before the punt. Well, that Belichick phrase describes Adam Gase's first half approach virtually every week. You are forcing the defense to overachieve in order not to dig too deep of a hole. You are relying on late comebacks that rightfully should not succeed as often as they have succeeded since week 6 of 2016.

Charles Harris is funny to watch. He was very fortunate after New England's final touchdown that Rich Gannon on replay decided to focus on the downfield block involving other players instead of Harris being effortlessly knocked on his rear by Philip Dorsett.

Frank Gore was the bright spot. It wouldn't have mattered to the outcome but to avoid 3rd and long early in the game we could have fed Gore on early downs.

Good job by Gase to pull Tannehill and give Osweiler a possession. Tannehill for whatever reason really struggles to put up points on the board at New England, other than that second half in 2016.

3rd and 16 still triggers bubble screens & draw plays up the middle with Gase...Why is that?

We beat them late in the season at home last year and suddenly our offense/defense can’t do ANYTHING against them? Yeah ok

Wow, I just watched Harris get knocked to the ground multiple times. Solid 1st round pick by the guru. Wtf

Fraud and fakery.

X shut down.

D line shut down.

#4 passer shut down.

Fitz shut down.

Drake AND Gore shut down.

And a 1-2 NE team can do no wrong.

Sorry boys. I don’t buy it. No way a 3-0 team with what we’ve got loses this bad. No. ****ing. Way.

I’ve been watching these guys since 1976. Not happening.

Total horseshit. The NFL simply cannot lose the Golden Child, and will take any steps required to ensure that. Starting with the officials.

No way we got that bad that fast.

I suggest Professional Wrestling for those of you that require a higher degree of realism.

I agree with you 100%. The people who are making comments about the Fins getting whooped have no clue about how football works especially against a team like the Pats. We didn't have to get screwed the entire game to have the results of 38-7...just drive-stopping penalties on third down for us and the ones that kept drives going for the Pats in the first half is all it takes to tire the $4!+ out of the Fins D. I did not think for one minute that the refs would allow the Fins to go to NE and get a win...it's not a good NFL story...let's be real here.

If some of you guys think the NFL is this fixed you shouldn't watch. Seriously, you'll be happier going off doing something else than feeling that injustice is always being done. I stopped watching the NBA after that Lakers and Warriors playoff game back around 03. It was obvious ... and later was proven. Don't miss the NBA one bit at all. Half the way there with football. Phins lost this squarely on bad calls and bad performance. You lose by this much because you suck in all aspects of the game.

I think there is more going on behind the scenes than we were privy to.

I remember last year a jags player said they overheard a discussion the coaches were having that revolved around them throwing the game. I don't know how true that is just throwing it out there.

Yes, there was some home cooking for the league darlings. But there always is. It is a given, and a big part of how a team wins 26 of 27 consecutive home games. In Buffalo and Green Bay its the snow. In Seattle and Kansas City it's the crowd. Part of New England's home field advantage right now are the refs, we know this.

But let's not sugar coat the real reason we got whooped. The Patriots dominated us because they were clearly the better team that day. It's a bummer for sure, but that's it, plain and simple.

We got beat. It's only one game and it's one almost everyone predicted we would lose. Now, let's move on. We are in great position after the first quartile of the season. Injuries are our biggest concern ... but that is a concern for almost every team, every year.

IMHO, the goal is 10 wins, not 16. Focus on getting the remaining 7 wins out of 12 opportunities, and we will be in the playoffs. THEN, we can focus on winning every game.

We lost the battle, yes, but we are still in a great position to win the war.

No faith in the O-line holding up long enough for 3-4 second routes to develop.

Ok, you're baiting me into saying something I've kept to myself since last year. I believe strongly that Belichick threw that game against us in Miami. Why? A loss to the hapless Dolphins would motivate/ready his team for the playoffs FAR more than a win. And a win for the Phins would ensure that they were that much farther from drafting a future QB (think about how that one win kept us from a shot at QB of your choice in the draft).

Now I'd love to take that one step further and wish that the hapless play calling was Gase paying back the throw. Maybe he figured a beatdown would be better for the team in the long run, so why not now against a NE team that will be tough to beat in Foxboro anyways. Of course, this is all [my] fantasy, but if the team looks completely different in the next few games and continues the upward trajectory, it would be something to think about. It was weird to me how hapless NE looked last year in Miami and how hapless we looked against them on Sunday.
