Big props to Darren Rizzi for identifying Jason Sanders in the draft and coaching him up. Great job by the front office for NOT wasting money on Parkey who lost the game for Chicago today.

We have enough crow for everyone who thought it was a stupid move to trust in Rizzi.

Sanders has not missed a FG so far this season.

Parkey was 9 of 10 on the season prior to the ot miss. Not like he's having a bad season. I was ok with letting him walk due to not wanting to overpay for a kicker on an average team. Sanders has yet to miss a fg this season. Also Greg Joseph, who Miami cut at the end of training camp, is also having a good year.
 
Sanders never looked like missing, I like his confidence, well done young man. The height they were going over I don't think 60 yarders would be out of the question for him
 
I’ll have seconds. Didnt want to pay Parkey but I was convinced his would beat us with a looooong kick.
