Just got home from a trip to see her family down in SC.
Pretty much turned into a golf trip for me, with my 2 brother in laws living down there.
Played a course called ‘Cassique’ it’s on Kiahua Island. Google it if ya have a chance. Really freaking amazing! We had caddies, it was real cool.
$135,000 to join, plus $20,000 dues. Crazy incredible course to play on.
Once in a lifetime.

Golfing the other day was actually good physical therapy for my fingers. Both middle knuckles on both hands still hurt 2 months after go kart crash. First swing hurt pretty good but as I kept playing the pain got more tolerable. After finishing the knuckles feel looser than they have since wreck.
 
Went back to the same course to settle the tie yesterday afternoon. My buddy beat me by 3 strokes this time. Course kicked our asses. Sun was out and windy which made the greens lightning fast. If it went past the hole it went past by 7 ft. Lots of 3 putts. Hit a bunch in the hazards as well and took penalty strokes.

Pretty much sucked all day other than a couple of pars. But it did beat working!

Played Snow Hill yesterday, weather was beautiful. Shot 46 on front and had buddy by a stroke at the turn. His missed a par on the last hole that would have given him a 39 on the back. He tapped in for 40 on back and a 87.

I am still learning how to post, haven't tried pictures yet.

I was on 18 first row of grandstand(all you can eat and drink free from a corporate sponsor) watching Tiger win. It was incredible. I have some great footage and pictures, I will see if I can figure out how to post.

Hope you guys have been out chasing it this fall. I've been playing about once a week for the last few months......playing fairly well overall, mostly low to mid 80's. The short game is strong and putting has been great. Seem to be pulling the irons a bit which I need to work on.

I like playing this time of year with the weather being cool. Always light up a cigar on the back side and beers and wings after our round. I have two buddies I play with every week and one is a Bills fan and the other a Vikings fan. Makes for some great conversation.....
 
Plus there are winter rules now :)

The courses around me other than a buddy's CC course I play once in a while are all brown and turning to ****. The greens aren't bad yet but it's coming.
Still love playing when the weather allows

That course is pretty tough from the tips. # 6 is the closest I’ve ever come to a hole in one. Half on the lip and I still can’t believe it didn’t drop.
 
Yeah, I really like Snow Hill. It's only about 20 miles from my house and it used to be a private club that hosted PGA events.
When DHL moved its packaging facility out of Wilmington about 8,000 jobs vanished from Clinton County. Which meant no management jobs that could afford membership at country club. So the course sold and then went public. I remember looking at property record and someone stole it for around 2 Mill. Anyway I can afford to play it now.....

If someone doesn’t believe in ghost, spend the night at Snow Hill.
 
Yeah they say the old clubhouse is haunted and you can stay there for the night. Was going to try when I was married but never got around to it.
What happened to you?

Brother in law was a cook there in the early 1990’s. We would go in after hours and just watch the chandeliers swing and pans drop off shelves. You could hear voices upstairs and we were the only ones there. Ask anyone who’s ever worked there and you probably won’t spend the night. I know a lady who will not enter that building without her bible. LOL
