All these people saying we just need to cut Tannehill. Who are we gonna pick up If we cut him. $13 million is dead money and we save $13 millionwhich is gonna have to go straight to a new QB because we don't have another. Brock is on a one year deal. If we bring him back as the starter, he not gonna play for $850k like this year. You want to pay Brock $7-10 million to be the QB? Falk and Fales aren't the answer. Both have pop warner arms. Gase isn't gonna roll into the season with Falk or Fales with his ass on the line. No way.

We got two games with the bills, Colts, and Jets at home. Worst we do is 2-2 with 3-1 very likely even with how bad it's looked. Draft isn't an option for a starter. I'm not trading the franchise away for any of these QB, when the 2020 group is a year away. So with the whopping $13 million we saved who is this mysterious QB we are gonna get? I think thill is here next year unless his arm has fallen off.

Accurate description of the situation.

There is really no viable way to improve the QB position next year that I can see.

Ryan Finley. Dude is just awesome. Hopefully we can get him

If you’re going to rebuild that’s exactly what you do. You tank 2019 along with this year. Plus you fire sale what ever you have now. Get as many picks as you can the next two years.

Nobody is paying Brock close to $10 million based on the way he is playing. And Gase needs a dependable QB he feels he can win with now! Because if he doesn't realize his job is on the line next season he's even dumber than Burke's beard.

Exactly. Hence why I think Thill is back. Unless his arm is completely shot.

We need to draft a potential elite QB and I'm not so sure there are going to be ANY possible elite ones in the 2019 draft. May have to wait til 2020
I think we are approaching a point where we need to make a godfather offer and trade up in the draft and grab a qb either in 2019 or 2020.

Not necessarily, the money does not have to go to a QB. Phins could draft a Qb and that QB will not cost 13 mil. Nonetheless, there is no reason to play Tannehill next year. He is done, he has produced nothing in two contracts. The Phins need a new young QB.
If that new QB does not work out, Phins will be in good position in 2020 to draft a new QB, otherwise it's all good.

The FO could move up for Herbert, or roll the dice on another draftee.

That's why I wish they would have upgraded the positional depth this year. Many options were available

I'm not for just drafting any QB. Especially when we are more than likely gonna have to mortgage the future this year to get one. Likely finish middle of the pack 13-17. Herbert maybe worth it but the Giants got that locked up. All other guys are probably not even first rounders in a decent draft. This draft gas the makings to be a historical draft on the defensive side. After the last three games I'd hate to miss out on that for another gabbert, Vince young, or ponder to name a few.

These are my priorities for the 2019 offseason:
1. Fire Gase and company
2. Hire a defensive minded coach
3. Make sure to draft your highest graded QB

We will roll with Tannehill as the starting QB in 2019 while the rookie sits and learns.

stephen ross is not paying ryan tannehill 19m next year.
