Tired Of Gase Drama

It seems like every coach would like to copy the Patriot way. If you don't do your job, no matter who you are, you will be gone. Problem with Gase trying to run the Dolphins that way is he has no past success to earn him that respect, and he doesn't have #12 distributing the ball. The Patriot way has failed in many other organizations where ex-Pats coaches attempted it because of this reason. If you don't win, players are going to bitch because the Patriot way often means less $$$ for the players.

How long does the average RB last in the NFL? The NFL Players Association says 3.3 years.

Think about how much of Drake’s career is being wasted by Adam Gase. And it’s Adam Gase doing the wasting. Drake has already shown what he can do when given the opportunity.

Find me an NFL player who doesn’t miss a block occasionally, or fumble occasionally, or drop a pass occasionally. You can’t let perfection be the enemy of good. Kenyan Drake is one of the best players on this offense. For Gase to marginalize him in favor of a 35-year old dinosaur is unacceptable.

Huh?? I was responding to the post about how Jones is apparently no longer a leader and how Fitzpatrick will "make a better leader anyway" talk. My point was, maybe.....until Gase sees or feels any perceived slight.

I know, I was just pointing out that Gase is already doing it to Drake. No reason to think it can’t eventually happen to Fitzpatrick too.

If they quit they dont have a job. Phillips was a whimp. Gase challenges you. No more weak stuff going on in Miami. Either listen to Gase or begone.

I think some of the reaction narratives on this forum need to be re-evaluated.

Obviously, Jones is not a totally selfish player. We KNOW he plays hurt to help this team. We KNOW he’s giving full effort on the field. We’ve heard from other players, including those who might have been in competition for his spot, that he’s always there to talk football and work through different concepts. But...Jones operates on instinct and that can sometimes cost your defense.

Gase has said he’s trying to change the culture. Gase makes bafflingly poor decisions as a playcaller. Gase has made some poor decisions in his staffing. But...I’m tired of fans saying “Gase is the problem and he runs off talented players” or “Gase hasn’t earned enough respect to treat talented players this way.” How do you expect a coach to win if the players aren’t operating within the scheme? No, Gase isn’t Shula, Walsh, or Belichick, but those guys didn’t just show up as Hall of Fame coaches.

Am I surprised that the coaches want to get Minkah more snaps at Jones’ expense rather than McDonald’s? Sure, but I think Burke, Gase, and Jones will sit down and figure out how to move forward.

I don’t even have a problem going with Gore on 3rd & short. Although I don’t recall it being Gase’s favored play. At this point, I’d kind of prefer a QB sneak with our 6’7” backup QB, rather than Frank Gore 7 yards deep.

As I mentioned in another post, Gase’s fascination with Frank Gore and WR screens makes this the most predictable offense in the NFL. At least when Drake is in the game, he can be moved around, split out wide, etc. When Gore is in, the opposing defense barely needs to think.

Frankly I'm so down on Gase and his incompetency that it effects my limited ability to really understand and evaluate some of the players real capabilities.
I don't disagree with your value of Drake. Seen him at times in his good phase as having exceptional ability great hands and used successfully receiving down field. Seen him having quickness and at time very allusive moves. Did not see as much lately the slippery moves as successful but then the OL must also be evaluated in that determination. Why possibly a Gore on short yardage a wiser decisions and not used enough on those short yard situations. Also agree think at minimum would like to have seen Osweiler or even RT QB sneek in those 1 yd situations...But at minimum don't want to see 3rd & 4th and one and a 5-10 yd pass....
But have to say that much of the yardage Gore has pounded out of those 53 yds were not easy and hard fought out yds to make and fact think Drake seeing the same openings may not have even gotten what Gore did... But Drake and his larger capabilities must be the man for Gore is on his riding into a extremely successful sunset.

thats right, Drake lovers/supporters, who want Drake to be on every play, Guru Gase says he has been Fing up big time. No go for you Drake. Put that in your statistical book.
