Gase/ Reporters Comments Etc - The Monday After

This team has zero depth led by older vets.

As for "dead money", I dont remember the whining about Suh collecting checks from Davie as he plays in LA.

As for "restructuring", he has already been restructured once pushing his guaranteed money into the out years. What more do you want? Bobby Bonilla type restructuring? Where Tannehill as a 35 yr old will still be getting Davie checks if he's retired or on another team?

Some of you people will excuse almost anything to preserve your favorite HC or QB. It's becoming sad at this point. But hey...I understand you guys still have 2 more years to make your case.

I think you are confusing excuses with facts.....and the FACT is that everything I said in my original post is true. Whether or not you want to accept facts is completely up to you.

A bet we have twice as many starters on our IR list than those other teams. Someone tried to compare us to the Rams, who only had 2 at the time.

Label it an excuse if you want, but we were winning before the injuries hit us. I can understand being disappointed, but using 'the last 20 years...' in your argument shows your illogical anger based on emotions rather than rational thinking.

To bash Gase for offensive production after all these injuries is absurd. It's as if you EXPECTED the offense to perform better afterwards. I can't see how you can defend being that type of fan, that just bitches to bitch with blinders on.

Pats have more players on IR than we do and continue to keep on rolling.

we just live with a loser mentality. if its not injuries, its the draft positioning-which we f up regularly LOL- the weather, the zodiac is bad on the the Sundays when we play etc etc.
excuses excuses excuses.

ps Drake sucks.

Just a guess, but I bet it has something to do with a HOF HC, HOF QB, a real OC, better game planing, and on, and on

The Pats having more players on IR than the Dolphins is extremely misleading, because the Patriots put basically their entire rookie class on IR to stash them for a year. This is a common thing that the Patriots do, and it's probably the most brilliant way of cheating they've come up with yet. Because it's one that the NFL is never going to bother investigating and no other team has the ****ing brain power to do likewise.

A few teams have more players on IR than we do but it's not the quantity, it's the quality. How many have their starting QB on IR? How many have lost key starters? How many snaps were lost or were they special teamers?

I have to wonder how successful do you think some of the best teams would be with their backup QB's?

KC with Chad Henne? How many wins are they getting?

Rams with Sean Mannion?

Patriots with Brian Hoyer?

Chargers with Geno Smith?

Steelers with Josh Dobbs?

Packers with DeShone Kizer?

Seahawks with Brett Hundley?

Bears with Chase Daniel?

Texans with Brandon Weeden?

All I see is a bunch of sub .500 teams.....

Well, for one, the Eagles won the super bowl with their backup.

Tannehill is an average at best QB. So is Osweiler. There really isn't that big of a difference.

You're comparing apples to oranges with that list. You're implying Tannehill is as good as those QBs which is laughable.

Suh isn’t collecting checks from Davie. He counts against our cap but earnings and cap numbers are two different things.

Some people just can't accept the fact that this team is not good and they're willing to make any excuse for it.

Bottom line is we are a bad team from top to bottom.

That doesn't seem fishy to you? I saw a thread about "Strength and Conditioning", and wound up saying, "Hmmm," "Hmmm...hmmmmm," a whole lot.

We played an injured Mariota (hand)...even tough we injured him, a bumbling Raiders team, and a bumbling Jets team. The Pats showed us who we were. The Bengals won the game the same way we beat the Titans.

I doubt that if we play the Titans next Sunday, we beat them.

I don't bash Gase for his production. My bashing comes from bubble screens and handoffs up the middle on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and long yardage. My bashing comes from ripping the physicality and identity of this team away in it's one good season in order to "change the culture"...which is still nutty as a fruitcake.

Really, so if the Pats lost Brady and 3/5ths of the OLine and most of his receivers they would be just fine? Right

I bet they wouldn’t even be able to beat Tennessee, oh wait...

It was like 100% certain before the season started the EXCUSES would be flying high if the team underperformed yet again. Sure enough -- that's now the standard line -- even though EVERY TEAM in the NFL has players on IR (several significantly more than Miami)!

Yo. The offense sucked in preseason and started the year sucking -- inconsistent, incapable of scoring, incapable of executing blah blah!

Gase OWNS 100% of that! Along with his highly erratic play calling and --- ya know what they say -- the teams is a REFLECTION of the HC! Well, there ya go.

Bag the excuses.

Please.

BNF.
Agreed except I give a exemtion when the starting QB goes down. Outside of the Pats when you loose the syarting QB your a crippled team. You can't draft every position every draft either. I predicted a 10 6 record with a healthy RT and a 6 10 with RT hurt. We might get 8 8 but thats about it. Sure the defense has struggled and the oline has been a issue but a healthy RT and we win the Bengals game and maybe 1 more at this point.
Sorry this looks like a poor year for a QB to so build that oline at last and get that QB in 20.
