The worst Dolphin team ever? I have season tickets and been going to almost every home game since 1973. This is the worst across the board team, coaches, front office and owner EVER.... I should be entitled to a full refund for wasting my money on a HORRIBLE Product. This might be the last year I continue re-ordered which will be hard since I have tried to hang in there for all these years. I just can't take this much longer.... I am at a loss for words.....

The 1-15 team, for as bad as it was, played in some pretty close games, surprisingly. Could have just as easily gone 6-10.

I agree though, it was a huge downturn in Miami Dolphins history. 2002 sucked the worst for me...we could have won the whole thing that year, who'd have ever guessed Jay Fiedler's thumb and Chris Chambers' head were that valuable?

The team was at full strength at the end of 2002 and they couldn’t even beat one of two non-playoff teams to clinch a playoff berth. No way that team was going to win it all against playoff competition.

The worst season for me was Shula's last year. Wayne gave Shula the permission to do whatever was neccessary to get a Superbowl and we signed 13 (!!!!) former first round picks. We were one of the favorites and ended up with an 9-7 record and that season put us into cap hell for JJ's entire time as a coach here.

Right now we are 5-5 when most exoected us to be .500 or worse before the season started. Our 1-15 season looks bad on paper but we were supposed to end up with 4 wins max that year.

When you put things in perspective and leverage between expectations and reality the worst is sometimes not the worst.

Actually it's not, not even close, in fact, though it will take some luck on our side, Miami could still make the playoffs....

  • Tannehill throwing (According to Gase a good start).
  • Miami has two weeks to get healthier.
  • Defense though not great, showing flashes, could be coming on.
  • Miami just a half game from being in playoff position.

I think I am just finally at my wits end and frustrated. Maybe this is not the Worst Ever but with all the injuries and poor play and coaching (defense Matt Burke) must go. I had to vent. And this forum looks as good as any. LOL. Sorry guys.

So you’re 54 years old going on 24? Seriously this is spoken like a true millennial and is a huge problem across the board with Dolphin’ fans. The horrible product you speak of is purely meant for entertainment, only. Yet you make it sound as if you are owed something more. Sorry to break it to you but you were never promised anything and no one twisted your arm to root for this team or to spend one single cent on them. Absolutely unbelievable that a 5-5 team can have “fans” like this.

1-15 was the worst... one miracle play from being 0-16.

it was so bad that when we won that game, it felt like the super bowl. More like The Ty-D Bol....

I vaguely remember the 90s Dolphin teams, i was too busy playing pokemon and drinking juice pouches.

In terms of record 2007 was the worst.
In terms of painful to watch: this year, last year, 2006, 2004.

2004 and 2006 still had some star power though on those teams (JT and Zach). The current teams are like eating a raw potato and a bowl of undercooked white rice.

I Don't mean to be a negative Nelly but we have no business thinking of the playoffs. Looking at the top tier teams performance and comparing them, well I just don't see how we can stay close in score in the first half. Being a fan since 1970, I have thrown my hands up this year and surrender. I have become comfortably numb to the reality that we are in need of a massive rebuild. I am not saying that we throw Gase out and start over. I think we have proven that does not work as we have been consistently poor at the best a mediocre team for some time. I like RT as a person, as an athlete and as a sportsman. You have to ask yourself if you want to build your franchise around one of our current QB's. I think most would say no. If that is the case, we need to find our future QB which is something we have not done since sometime. Just a thought.
