Gase/ Reporters Comments Etc - The Monday After

It was like 100% certain before the season started the EXCUSES would be flying high if the team underperformed yet again. Sure enough -- that's now the standard line -- even though EVERY TEAM in the NFL has players on IR (several significantly more than Miami)!

Yo. The offense sucked in preseason and started the year sucking -- inconsistent, incapable of scoring, incapable of executing blah blah!

Gase OWNS 100% of that! Along with his highly erratic play calling and --- ya know what they say -- the teams is a REFLECTION of the HC! Well, there ya go.

Bag the excuses.

Please.

BNF.

Missed 20 games in a row... as I said Gase and the FO are MORONS.

It wasn't 20 games in a row at the beginning of 2017 and draft . And as for you saying Gase and FO are "MORONS" over and over and over and over again, it's like that little kid in kindergarten constantly raising their hand until someone, anyone, calls on them.

The Chris Chambers excuse squad is strong with the Gase crowd.

No offense, but that decision is so much easier and an obvious slam dunk in the middle of 2018 vs. in the 2017 draft.

The team believed they had a franchise QB who wasn't at risk for a career or season ending injury AND a team full of holes you could drive a truck through.

The team was wrong. 'I didn't realize we suck' is a pitiful excuse.

So tannehill gets every excuse in the book but Osweiler plays behind a makeshift line and it's all his fault. Got it.

Well, at least I can applaud you for one thing. All the other "Brock = Tannehill" crowd disappeared after his second game. At least you're sticking to your guns and going down swinging.

It's sad, but I still applaud you.

You have the Pats game?

What about the Cincy game where Tannehill intentionally grounded it into a pile of players for a costly INT...not to be outdone by the good ole' 3rd and 1 DEEP BOMB...while rolling out no less.

You really just going to pick and choose? Why not compare carriers? Oh, wait, that kills your agenda.

Let's do this...

Here's what Tannehill does better than Brock:
  • Throw the deep ball
  • Throw accurately
  • Run the ball
Here's what Brock does better than Tannehill:

  • Throw the ball out of bounds when under pressure
  • Is tall
Kinda obvious, huh?

Do you have the tapes from the last two games Tannehill played...or not?

If you don't, I'll settle for final scores.

When you have a mobile QB going down with an ACL and chooses not to have surgery you begin to gamble. An ACL for a mobile QB is a gamble in the first place.

Secondly after 5 years of stagnant QB play with a slight elevation in 2016 a good FO and HC begins to look for possible other options. Further more Gase was unhappy with Moore anyways. If Gase expected to be a playoff team in the next few years the chances to grab a good QB for the future would have been less in upcoming years. So 2017 was the year we should have gone for a QB.

Ryan Tannehill PFF grade after 5 games...54.2---and this is with him firing on all cylinders for 3 games.

Brock Ostweiler PFF grade after 5 games...57.6

Is Tannehill better than Ostweiler...yes. Unfortunately, the fact that Ostweiler is even making this a question is an indictment of Tannehill's potential...at age 30.

I wasn't saying you were wrong, just that it's way more clear today than a year and a half ago.

Also, coaches and FO personnel who are judged on win now don't have as much incentive as the fans to build for the future.

It’s not really a question - it’s not close. He played ok in one game. One.

This is ...
