Jason Lieser's Take On Coach Gase

what's really so insanely laughable is the basic fact -- if Gase was fired tomorrow

there isn't a team in the league that would like:

OMG that brilliant offensive luminary from Miami is available

WE GOTTA GET HIM!

LOL.

The absolute BEST he could possibly hope for is a couple of opportunities

(post season) as OC (even better @QB coach) -- for teams that

can't attract top shelf talent.

His *star* has so dimmed...

You want to take a bet on that?
Both Denver and Cleveland would take long looks at Gase.

sigh, same story, but yeah if our line plans had worked out, maybe even with brock at QB we have 6 or 7 wins right now.

Not a one....

The reason to extend his not just some sort of sycophantic foolishness.

Gase needs to be given he support of the org so that he knows he can make long term bets. Like a rookie QB, etc.
This would also be important for the sake of staff retention and acquisition.
Who has Gase brought on that deserves to be retained?

I'll give you Rizzi...but after that, I'm drawing a blank.

Can you imagine what this board would be like if we had a QB and head coach that we all agreed upon...either good or bad? There would be nothing to talk about!

No they wouldn’t.
Pretty sure multiple teams would take a run at a coach that was the offensive coordinator of the highest scoring offense in NFL history. Yeah I know he had Manning. Belicheck has had Brady for over 15 years. Payton has had Bree's for over 10 years. McCartneys had Rodgers for 10 years. Gase had Manning for 2 years and those other coaches never duplicated what's Gase's offense has done. Brady and Bill came close in 2007.

I don't think so.

Not if the evaluation was based on PROVEN PRODUCTION.

My opinion. Of course.

BNF.

Yea there would... First and foremost -- there's always room for crit on an internet forum!

Beyond that -- crap like: "we shoulda put up 50 on those bums!"

Even tho we won by 20. Etc.

But SUCK is a different animal IMO.

For me, they just aren't very entertaining to watch. And if that's the case they better be dominant which they aren't.

Definitely don't want to get too attached to any player with talent because he's probably not for long wearing a Dolphin uniform.

Ive had that feeling watching Jason before

Both Tannehill and Gase require everything to be perfect for them to succeed. Gase could only succeed when he had Manning as his QB and Tannehill is not Manning, so don't expect Gase to be very successful. Tannehill will never be successful because his situation will never be totally ideal.
