Who is going to have a better NFL career?

Let’s call this exercise for what it is: a thought exercise. Nothing more, nothing less. The reason I preface everything with this is because we’re dealing with a small sample size of 10 games, not to mention both players could turn out to have productive careers in their own respect.

The “or” part of this “Raekwon McMillan OR Jerome Baker” discussion is not that important of a distinction for me - at the end of the day, I want both players to succeed. I’m more trying to identify which piece is more crucial to the all-important “young nucleus”. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Xavien Howard, and Laremy Tunsil get mentioned as members of the young nucleus, but I don’t often hear McMillan or Baker as constituents of this region.

The knee injury makes me give a pass for this year. I hope both pan out in the long run.

Baker is starting to play really well while McMillan is still making bonehead mistakes. I would give McMillan another year to prove himself but also add some competition for his spot

As you note, small sample size and the variable of RM's injury. Right now, I'm saying Baker, but "better" is a little nebulous.
A little OT, but I'd add Wilson as part of the nucleus and, given the opportunity to be a receiving TE, maybe Gesicki.

Leaning towards Baker.
His speed is something else for a LB.

I hope we draft another LB this draft.

At this point I have to say Baker. I knew his speed would allow him to make some plays. I just want him to be consistent. As far as RM, so far he's not what I was hoping he'd be. He's not that tackling machine that you want at MLB but it's only been 10 games so we'll see what happens. I'm rooting for both of course.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but even with his off field issues, Reuben Foster should have been taken ahead of RM. I for one was shocked we overlooked him.

I think if Baker were used properly he could get between 6-10 sacks per year and the interceptions will keep coming. So for me it’s easily Baker.

I will give Raekwon one more year given his injury and our defensive coordinator’s struggles.

McMillan is hot garbage. He reminds me of another 1st round bust back in 1984 named Jackie Shipp. The Dolphins need to draft a MLB next April.

Raekwon was the 54th overall selection in the 2017 draft. I don't think he is hot garbage but he does have a lot to learn. He has to build up more strength and agility this offseason and get his head into the playbook. I'm hoping he ends this year strong and will be one of the most improved players in 2019.

Foster was taken ahead of McMillan...

Now the question is should we have taken Foster ahead of Harris? I say, yes, but what about our pass rush...that never materialized anyhoo?
