Tannehill To Return To Practice On Tuesday

You forgot Harris
Didn't fit his ridiculous assertion. The guy thinks slot corner is a more important position than QB. He advocates we sit back and wait another decade until "the time is right" to get a qb. He also seems to think a RB is more valueable at #2 overall than a QB...

Anyone who watched those two teams last night
has to believe that the QB position is by far the most
important position in football. You could also throw in
the Saints and the Pats

It's all about timing, people will understand this better when the NYG take over the NFCE in a few years because they wisely drafted Barkley instead of overrated Darnold. Our 2 highest picks in recent years were Tunsil and Minkah, this team would be f***** without either of them. Team building takes patience which is something most fans don't have, you don't move on from RT until the opportunity presents itself which it really hasn't yet. This team has lots of needs, moving on from RT isn't one of them. Thankfully I believe our coach who appears to have a lot of say understands this, even though it seems most fans do not.
I don’t know how you can say Darnold is overrated, kids a rookie and showed more in his college games to warrant being drafted that high compared to T-hill. You’re willing to give Tannehill a pass due to poor coaching give Darnold the same respect and stop walking around with T-hill goggles on all the time. T-hill is the definition of overrated.

So you are proclaiming the Giants did the right thing by selecting a RB (A great one) over a QB? You are also already burying Darnold? Good one dude

Yes and yes, the NYG made the right decision, you'll see in time.

Lol, kid produces at least a turnover a game dating back to his senior year and has an elongated release with mediocre talent. God speed jests.

Ok sure dude. RB position does not have much value. However, I do think Barkley is premium talent and a game breaker. But, no way do you pass on a QB there. Maybe Darnold won't pan out. Who knows, but the strategy is what I am arguing.
I just don't think you understand how important the QB position is. It isn't what so many on FH would have you believe. They think every O line in the league is good, and somehow Miami's is always terrible and you just plug and play QBs like robots (ironic ours is very robotic and doesn't improvise well).

We can come back to this after his 3rd year in the league. Until then give him the same amount of time you Tannehill fans have given him.
Love how every other teams qb is overrated except the Phins.

That's fair, just not a Darnold or Rosen believer, glad we "missed out".

Josh Allen worries me though, I hope he's as stupid as they say lol.

You're arguing the strategy?

Do you think the Giants feel RB is an equal position to QB?

Do you think any team in the league thinks that?

Of course not.

It wasn't their "strategy."

Obviously Darnold, Rosen, Allen weren't their guys, so they took the best player (in their opinion).

If it were even a close call, they'd have grabbed a QB.

Nobody has a crystal ball, but you don't just take a QB high as a "strategy."

You have to love the guy and have a conviction on him.

Lmao @ arguing with the strategy.

Wut?

Sounds like there were two opportunities that you had to justify passing on.

This timing argument is nonsense. Look at nearly all the young QBs putting up big numbers; their franchises went and got them. If Gase didn't have interest in any QB that's fine, but his assessment would be troubling with the talent to come out the last few seasons. If you have a conviction on a QB, go and get him.

This team has lots of needs.

That wasn't the tone this off season. I'm still waiting for my Nascar on Grass*.

Round and Round we go, will anyone be held accountable nobody knows.

You have zero chance to hit on a QB if you pass on 3 of them when you are drafting at 2 overall and take a RB. If you dont like any of them, accumulate picks for when there is someone you want. Or just roll with ELI's corpse for a few more years I guess.

Not sure what you mean. Most teams don't draft QBs to be backups, at least in the early rounds. We are in a perilous situation where we have a starting QB who has now gone out in what might as well be back to back years at pivotal points. A backup with starting potential is a 100000% percent need with a vulnerable starter, which we have.

I would also counter that our entire defense does not need an overhaul. There are peices, sure, priority being the line, but entirely? No. I'll give you RB and we are just injured this year on OL, it is manageable, just need to use later picks for second and third strings.

It's about timing and waiting for the right moment. I'm not sure if we're talking about finding a starting QB or losing our virginity anymore.

You can fully believe that QB is, by far, the most important position in football without thinking that it's a good idea to sell out a draft or two to move up to get one, especially with the high rate of busts.

Thinking that the QB is the most important position and thinking that you have to put together a solid team around one for sustained success are not mutually exclusive positions.

You may disagree with those statements, and that's cool.
