When Did You Lose Faith In Gase?

I lost faith in Gase when...

His play calling this season has been what's made me become a non believer. Why the hell is Dowell Loggains even on the payroll? We've played like **** ever since the Bears win. There's no way you can justify his play calling down the stretch vs Indy last week. I still have a sick feeling in my stomach two days later.

He had a good first year like the last two coaches here did...just a little more luck and a soft schedule. Take a look back Sparano had a good first year and so did philbin. Then teams had a game plan for it. Gase is no Genuis that he is hyped up to be.

You know, I think (italics for a reason, because who the hell actually knows) that if Gase was HC ONLY and not calling plays as well, that he would be a decent head coach. I like the philosophy and culture he is trying to do. I think he is a good leader and the players respect him. I think if he got a strong offensive play caller in here, and focused on coaching the TEAM instead of just the offense, I think we might have something.

Watch Gase during a game. When the defense is on the field, he has no clue what they are doing, because he's sitting on the bench with his nose buried in his playbook. If he could let go of the offensive play calling and focus on being the HC and building the entire team, I think he could be a standout coach.

Unfortunately, I don't see that happening.

Always questioned the hire / didn’t believe he had the qualifications. Warmed up to him after 2016 then concerns began w the Cutler signing and subsequent handling of alpha personalities. Really began to lose faith as the Q1 futulities mounted. The Indy game was the last straw. Officially “out” on him.

He’s not being the HC if he’s studying up plays instead of paying attention when the D is out there. Perhaps our D would be better if he paid attention to it?

Its such a tough call and that's why if I'm Ross he gets one more year. Whatever happens, happens and his job is on the line.

if you told me a coach was fired after 49 games, after ending a playoff drought in year 1 and only had his true starting qb for what like 25 games? I'd be looking sideways at everyone running that team.

There is plenty to complain about Gase but I don't believe he is anywhere near his potential as a coach. A good step for him would be bringing in a real veteran offensive coordinator.

What has he done to lead you to believe he would be good if he was just head coach. What philosophy and culture has he brought? Undisciplined is what I see when I see this team. Wilting under pressure. Never coming up big in the big moments. Mediocre. What makes you believe he is a good leader? I haven't seen that yet. I have seen some of our best players question him. What players respect him? The mediocre ones now left on the team that he is giving playing time to? What top players on our team have come out in support of Gase or spoke positively of him, his leadership or game plan? He is not head coach material just because of what you said in your second paragraph. He trusted Joseph and Burke and has no interest in what the defense is doing. The entire team is yours, not just the offense. It all reflects on you.

Again, that was my whole point. I agree with you.

I think some of you guys are so blinded by pure hatred that you imagine contrary posts to fuel your hatred.

Loggains is on the payroll for the same reason Burke is. Adam Gase is a fragile nervous loser who cannot handle a real coordinator. Someone who garners more respect than him, would intimidate Gase and his massive fragile ego. He needs yes men, who he can scowl at under his hat after he is done staring at his play sheet on the sideline after another loss. He is a fraud and a loser, the worst kind of person. Ego so big he won't bring in strong people around him bc it would intimidate him

Actually never had the Faith, due to years of past failures in this department, but rather a bit of excitement at a new and supposedly up and coming prospect..and the fact of the organizations realization and movement on yet one more giant Brain fart.
Feel especially in cases like a HC, GM that so much more meaningful info and areas of info is needed to make such a decision that I feel I do not have enough of to make the call right from the start unless the "Guy" has already established that and clearly shown that level of credibility with successful achievements.
Faith and trust and strong support must be earned through a clarity and quality that make sense and decision that promote a winning aspect or feelings that movement is in that direction.

After 2 years felt that there was not even adequate amount of leadership, success, or positive movement and seemingly having no clue what to do not only in the present but in building and having a positive direction for the future which must also be of consideration IMO. The lack of insight in critical areas, respect, play calling, player evaluations, player and game time management play calling, direction and uniformity of team, coaching staff (old and new), to name a few....

Oh and thinking like this: "It’s just hard to see right now. Everybody does the same thing, everybody goes and looks at the result and all the good things get forgotten about.”

Understood he was a rookie HC and needed time but after last year and seeing little to no improvement and even less efficiency feel in my mind there is no doubt he HAS TO GO !....so my intense feelings pretty much all this year is there because I truly want to see our team Great again and truthfully just being respected would be somewhat fulfilling at this point.

After the Houston game. go rewatch it there was a TON of bad decisions, not just play calls, time management, time outs, fg decisions. Terrible

That was my point.
Yep. I was piling on in violent agreement. Could you picture Shula or Belichick sitting on the bench looking at polaroids while live action is going on?
