Mike Mccarthy Just Fired. Philbin Named Interim Hc.

for what it's worth, past three seasons

Packers 21-22-1
Dolphins under Gase 22-22

MM has won over 100 games and a winning record in the playoffs.

Gase calls the wildcat on 3rd and 1 with a 4th string oline.

Miami needs a new head coach and there is a SB winning coach available.

If Ross had any desire to improve this team he would at least put out some back channel interest so when we finish the season at 7-9, we will at least be in the running. MM will obviously be in demand.

It's a complete failure on his part that he only got to one SB with Rodgers at QB...they should have been there in 2011, and in 2014.

Still, it's funny to see American Gothic get a shot again.

Yes but over the past 13 years one of those organizations is

Games: 204 Wins: 125 Losses: 77 Ties: 2 Winning Percentage: .618 w/ 9 playoff appearance and 1 SB

And the other is:

Games: 204 Wins: 89 Losses: 115 Winning Percentage: .436 w/ 2 playoff appearances

I don't want to fire Gase but hot damn please go get McCarty as OC. This would be huge.

Too passive and too conservative for my tastes. To me, he's only looked at as "good" because he had Rodgers at QB...same argument that you could make for Gase.

I think the league has left him and his ilk behind. He failed to adapt despite having a QB that should be absolutely killing it with the new rules.

And now that poor bastard has Philbin the rest of the year.

The "Price is Right" losing horn must be playing continuously over Green Bay these days.

I’m no fan of McCarthy, as I think he wasted Rodgers too, but them forgetting how to draft - while letting the wrong FAs go - hasn’t helped much. Can’t believe they let the success of that D hinge on overrated Clay Matthews and Nick ‘who?’ Perry.

Keep up or you’ll get left behind.

The complaint against McCarthy is that his system is archaic. Now when they say archaic they mean in design. The green Bay system is very reliant on just beating someone one on one or Rodgers improving. For Gase's struggles the play design does get people open

True but being there in GB for a decade he wants a H.C. job not an assistant job. Just being honest.
