This Week At Minnesota

i posted this in another thread but i feel like it also applies here:

not getting blown out sunday would be a good start for gase to change peoples opinions of him. We need to keep the emotional momentum and come out fired up and attacking from the get go. We must come out strong from the start against minnesota.

gase has to realize that he has to go for it all here, you have to play to win and not play not to lose...

im not saying start chucking up prayers or nothing crazy but we have to relentlessly attack and down the field, our defense hasnt proven they can stop anyone and theres no reason to be super conservative especially because youre so focused on the turnover differential...

as soon as gase starts realizing a 3 and out is practically a turnover maybe he will understand its ok to take chances down the field.

I know our o-line is not cream of the crop, but do the Vikes have anyone on the d-line we need to be concerned with? Keeping Ryan upright is what wins this game to me. More time to scan the field and zip a pass in. I'd like Parker to have a career game this week.

Well, "Get the ball to Drake and Stills." SHOULD BE "Get the ball to Drake but not only Stills. Lately, Tannehill has been throwing far too much to Stills. If Minny takes Stills away, I'm worried.
Yes, get blitzes, but much more blitzing. Heaven knows know one will expect THAT.
You're clearly basing that on the last game alone, since Parker and Butler had same number of catches as Stills in Buff game. So, it's a moot point. I've seen other people talk about this. What I find funny, if Belichick isolates one of their WRs and has huge success against us, Miami fans lament how he's such a genius, and found a flaw in our D and exploited it. When we do it, it's Tannehill throwing too much to Stills.

Not quite, and I'm not blaming Tannehill only. Often those passes to Stills were 'first read.' I get looking for weaknesses, but Stills getting 9 targets, Parker 4, and everyone else 1, is a little excessive. Now I'm willing to admit maybe Stills was the only one who would get open, but my point stands. Don't be surprised if Minny focuses on Stills.

The Dolphins' passing game was actually pretty effective on Sunday against New England. Throwing the ball to Kenny Stills worked.

Perhaps NE keyed on Parker etc? Who knows. All we actually know is, it worked. Don't get away from it unless it proves it's not working against Minny. That's one of the things I've had issue with, regarding Gase play calling in the past - things are working and he inexplicably moves to other things. Keep doing what's working until the opposition finds a way to stop it.

I don't agree that the spread was excessive. There's zero guarantee that if the ball is spread around more evenly the other day, we still score that many points.

Anyone else notice that teams generally play poorly following a miracle win? Look at Minnesota last season. It tends to happen in college alot too. Regardless, I think we win.

Getting pressure on Cousins is the key. But we haven't been able to generate a consistent pass rush all season. We finally have a pretty solid secondary (when healthy) and what used to be a strength is now a bit of a weakness. Wish we could put it together.

^^^^

He wasn't the only one getting open in the Buffalo game

There’s a minor problem named Danielle Hunter.

Need the momentum from NE to overcome the cold of MN. Going up there will not be fun.

There's also that DL of the Vikings, oh and Thielen and Diggs.

Don't sleep on the Vikings because of the Seahawks game. They have the capability to destroy the Dolphins at home.
Cold? Aren't we playing in a dome?
