Playoffs Scenarios

Hate watching games that don’t matter. That what next week will be. I really thought the skins were the best chance. And I had quiet confidence in them. They had more injuries then Miami. I knew they would play tough. So damn close. Just sucks

All I wanted was to go into weeks 17 with hope. I hate football

Chiefs or Chargers have clinched the 5 seed. We need tons of help in order to get in...

Ya I am pretty pissed. I was holding out hope for playoffs. Not happening. Each and every week I live and die with this team. I just don’t think I can do it anymore. It takes a lot out of me. At least I bet skins would cover. I knew they wouldn’t lose by 10.

Good deal. I had some on Washington also. That was Crowd vs. Crowd. Spread went up to +11 today so I was okay even with that interception return. But anyone who played at +10 or lower benefitted from that new rule that the extra point is not attempted after the clock expires, if the outcome is not in doubt.

Last season or any prior season the Titans would have been asked to attempt the conversion.

BTW, the over/under was impacted by that interception return. It caused the game to go over 38. I'm sure Scott Van Pelt will have that on his Monday night Bad Beats segment

We need Baltimore to lose ONLY 1 game.
We need Pitts to win at LEAST 1 game.
We need Giants to beat colts
Then we need colts to beat Tenn

not to mention we need to win out but tannehill can't side step a sack for his life.

That might be what ultimately screws us in the end. I can see all of the other scenarios happening though.

If we win out, and Tennesse loses to the Colts, we (Us & Titans) would both be 9-7. But we own the tiebreaker. But what happens if Baltimore finishes at 9-7 too? They also beat the Titans. But they beat the Bengals, and we didn't. Thus, would Baltimore get in?
First the colts would have to lose tomorrow. Once the tie is more than 2 teams head to head is out the window. It would be conference wins and we would have that but not looking good right now for us

That PI call late against the Redskins was a joke. The ball was out of bounds .

The call was illegal contact, not pass interference. It looked shaky initially but on replay I could see why they called it.

Can't rely on other teams. That game reminded me of so many games that fell apart at the end when the Dolphins did not control their destiny.

Worst ever was 1975 when Miami needed New England to defeat the Colts on a Saturday. Every Dolphins fan was sweating that game just like the Dolphins were involved. We already hated Bert Jones. New England led very late in the 4th quarter then Jones got the benefit of some ridiculous officiating call when he was tied up in traffic. The Colts rallied to win. I think they got a last second touchdown to make the score look misleading. But the entire city of Miami was in an uproar about that call. The NFL admitted it was a mistake. Then that specific official became a hated figure in Miami for years and years, until his retirement.

Yep, if the Colts win tomorrow, we are eliminated and couldn't even tie. Colts and Titans play in Wk 17 so one of them would be 10-6.

I remember that game..

Our best hopes to make the playoffs is to spirit bomb the Patriots.

The Jets, Bills, and Dolphins need to work together these last two weeks to finally end this nearly 20 year nightmare.

I give you all credit for having hope. I don’t get it but still. Good for you.
No you were smarter. I actually thought the skins would win. I am dumb. Now all I did was get upset and yell during the end of the game. Then my dog ran upstairs. Not worth it. I shoulda gave up hope after colts game.

If the Patriots were playing the final two games away, I'd say this would be a very good possibility. But they are a very different team at home. I can't see it happening.
