I want to see the look on Landry's face if the Browns hire Gase.
 
This shouldn't really be any surprise and not sure how anyone could defend keeping Gase. He was hired to be an offensive guru and his offense has ranked near the bottom of the league in each year. This in a league where offenses are breaking records and even young QBs are excelling. His game plans and playcalling were beyond head scratching. He wasn't given the best hand due to injuries however IMO he still failed to best utilize the talent he did have. He didn't live up to the hype, the team was unprepared and embarassed far too often. It was time to move on. It is frustrating to have to start over again but as the saying goes, if first you don't succeed try try again.
 
You can't be awful on the road every season. You can't be 1-7 on the road. It was his decision to get Jay Cutler and Brock Osweiler, and give Tannehill no competition. You can't be 30th on offense and defense. You can't get embarrassed for 3 games while you're chasing a playoff spot. You can't start slow every game. You can't get embarrassed in every Prime Time game. You can't have your team be undisciplined and always commit penalties. You can't run the ball on 1st and 20, and throw the ball before the first down marker. You can't always rely on screen passes. You can't win with a soft team upfront on both sides. And I can go on.

It had to be done. Tannenbaum needs to go as well. They need to clean house from top to bottom.
 
Hell yes. We're off to a wonderful start

We still have to get the right people in place, but this is the correct first step in turning this franchise around

I found it odd that cowher was praising tannehill during halftime yesterday. He said something like “most people don’t realize what tannehill can do at QB”. It made me wonder if he has been approached with a blank check.

I really didn't think Ross would do it.
I want to see the plan as well, but this is a good place to start. He didn't even fool around for a month, while other bad teams moved forward.
 
I find it disturbing that any hx past or present can praise 17 for anything other than being a tough sob

supposedly a large number of players had been disavowing Gase, weren't Tannehill fans, etc...that's what CK was reporting

makes sense why you have to fire him.

It seems hardly anyone was paying attention to Ross’s actual words. He said if we weren’t in playoffs by year 3 coaches would be fired.
