Dolphins Request To Interview Vic Fangio

Ross is in a bad spot.
Miami is the least attractive job of the 8 openings. Only maybe Denver is worse.
All the talking heads on NFL just brought this up.
No QB. Bad roster. No top 10 draft picks. Poor cap room.

GB, Ari, TB, NYJ, Clev all have legit QBs. Miami has a bum.
Unless Grier trades for Flacco what coach wants to come here?
Keep spouting this nonsense.

Then you end it by believing a HC candidate would run here if we got Flacco? Please.

Because he will have a top 10 pick in 2020 and be able to get the QB that he wants.

We certainly won't get the cream of the crop so let's hope we can find a diamond in the rough. The positive here is will have someone different in 19

I'm on the Fangio train...if he would want to coach for us. The "offensive minded" coaches haven't been all that inspiring.

Miami is probably one of the best because Ross wants to purge the roster. No more free agent payouts back to building. Until RT is replaced with new blood the new coach should be untouchable. It has been proven we cant win with the Oline and QB combination we currently have.

Flacco is long gone from legit, if you've ever considered him that in the first place. Good game manager in his "prime" with an elite defense in place. Never really liked him.

Outside of certainly Cleveland and Green Bay, we're no worse of a destination than anywhere else. I can't imagine anyone wants to go coach in Cinci with that ownership.

Maybe I have a bias and maybe it is unfounded, but I think former DC fail more often than not as HCs.

Weirdly enough, I'm not sure Green Bay is the most desirable job right now. It's a crap roster outside of Rodgers, and not winning immediately with Rodgers means you get fired.

With the direction we're likely headed (rebuilding), the fact that he'll be 61 when next season begins scares me. Even more so that he's never been a HC before.

GB has little else but high unrealistic expectations by a fanbase that are owners
TB has no real QB who can be depended on on or off the field
Rosen is far from the real deal based on this one year and has less offensive weapons than what's here. The GM the new HC will be working for is an arrested drunk.
The Jets have the Johnson Bros as dubious owners, and a lot of media scrutiny in NYC that can turn on a dime.

We have Tunsil, Jones, Howard, Drake, Sanders and one of the few game changers not in KC by the name of Wilson... and the incoming HC has a blank slate.

The talking heads are just that.... and include a fair share of distinguished and not so distinguished ex players who if not for their prior athletic ability would be supersizing your fries... just to put it all into perspective.

He would bring discipline, hard nosed rushing attack and a defensive mentality to the team.
Old school NFL is the best school.

THIS!!!!

We owned the world with a sledgehammer running game (which we have), a line made of 5 bulldozers (only have 1 right now), and a defense that would kick your ass into orbit (a leader and tweaking is needed).

The recipe for success in 2019 is no different than it was in 1972.

I'd agree that Cleveland is the clear front runner especially long term, but I didn't want to marginalize the drawing power of having one of the greatest QB's in history. They also have a legitimate #1 WR, a couple of good lineman and some healthy cap room. You clean up that defense and they can just as easily make the postseason next year as the browns.

I'd like to think that adopting a run heavy team (especially since you wouldn't need to invest as much in a qb) is the way to go, but the rules favor passing attacks so much these days. Its just so much quicker and easier to move the ball down the field throwing it.
