Fighting the media, one lie at a time
If he could bring a good staff with him, I'd be fine with Dan. That's going to be CRUCIAL for any of these guys though. How much pull and influence do they have with their peers to get them to join up?
If the assistants weren't getting it done, Campbell would have no problem firing them and finding someone who could get the job done.
Campbell was good for morale at that juncture but some have forgotten that several times the team played pretty bad for him.
Agreed but Dan has no experience at the coordinator level either. Tony Sparano and Joe Philbin are recent examples of guys who had no true coordinator history before becoming a head coach. That happens sometimes when you have a bad team.
This is one of the 32 best jobs in the whole sport, I really don't believe Dan Campbell is qualified to fill it, we should be aiming a lot higher. Some of these names that have been banded about are frankly setting our sights way too low, it's how when ended up with someone like Philbin in the past. Look to the college game ffs, there's a lot a head coaches there that have a lot more about them than a TE coach who won a couple of games after replacing the disaster of Joe freakin Philbin.
