I said "not sure" because I'm sure that's how Ross feels about My Yammie Dolphins!

Yes. I was expecting full accountability, but Ross is a fool who almost never makes the right decision so who’s really surprised here?

Voted yes. I think that a full sweep should have been done at this time.

Even if that would have been unfair to Grier, sometimes it is necessary to start from a clean slate. And after another dysfunctional mess, I think this would have been the proper time.

i think keeping him around for 20 years has been more than fair enough to him. Personally i think keeping him has been very unfair to us dolphin fans

Absolutely. Grier has been apart of the Dolphins scouting staff since 2007, and we’ve largely had horrific drafts in that frame to date. He’s got no record of real success. This was another half measure by Ross, and it’s likely going to bite him in the ass yet again.

Gotta give Ross credit -- he effectively admitted his ownership has been a failure and also admitted

he collects his info in the NFL based on rumor and opinion -- specifically if a dude is "respected"

and apparently NOT SO MUCH on who is really the BEST for the job...

But anyway -- Ross obviously put a tremendous amount of time and resources to make this most critical decision!

Don't worry. Be happy! We're golden.

Maybe golden brown chicken wings. Or golden fries.

And after 10 years of this crap (with Ross) we should be used to junk food!

:)

I voted no. Probably should have voted not sure. But I don't see anything wrong with giving him a shot. He's had some pretty solid drafts and that was with Tannebaum breathing down his neck. Maybe with that dumb ass cast aside, Grier will excel. Then again, maybe not. But there is no way of knowing how much his hands were tied when it came to personnel decisions with the way Ross had things set up. I think we need to rework our scouting department.

Yes considering the terrible player personnel decisions, poor coaching, and lack of talent on the roster. We need a 2008 type cleansing. I am a little jealous of the Raiders bringing back John Gruden and bringing in Mike Mayock as their GM. Granted it could fail miserably the franchise seems to have promise now. We have made splashes in free agency but what we need is a splash at GM and head coach. I've always been optimistic with this team. But I have a feeling we will need another reset after this one!

I voted not sure for multiple reasons.

First, the last three drafts were better than the previous years. It is likely that Grier had a positive impact, but I admit there is no way for us to know.

Second, Ross admitted he made mistakes. He wants to change the approach. I do not trust that Ross will make better decisions, but Iam willing to wait and see if he did.

Finally, I believe a loyal employee deserves a shot at leadership if that individual has the trust of the key decision maker. My assumption is that Ross does trust him. He is spending a lot of money every year, and I cannot believe he would promote anyone he does not trust.

I do not have enough information to vote yes or no, but the three reasons above are enough for me to vote “not sure”.

I don't believe Grier has lower chances of success than whatever other schmuck Ross would bring in.

And hell, 1% chance is still a chance! It's better than what we had with Tannenbaum! :hclap:
