This Worked Out Well For Gase :)

By the way, anyone know why Elway hates Gase?
Could be because he thinks he is hot **** when he isn’t. He takes credit for Peyton’s record breaking season. He also only managed 6 points in the super bowl.

And I don’t think elway hated him until weasel gase was talking **** about him around the league. Elway didn’t hire gase as hc because he knew that he was barely qualified to be an Oc.

Could be about the talking smack. But also, Elway didn’t try to retain him correct?

Gase put all his eggs in the RT17 basket. He is arrogant to a fault- if you suceed you are a genius, if you fail, it is huberius. Julius Ceaser.

I said it a couple time this season and last...Gase could be a good HC if he would stop letting his ego get in the way. He alienated players and the owner because he thought he was the last word on good coaching. He never truly adjusted his game plan to match his opponents or play to his active players’ strengths. He never showed the ability to call the simple play because he wanted to outsmart everyone. These would be the dagger in the heart of the career of much more accomplished coaches. Without a consistent history of winning this was only going to end one way for him, and this year if caught up with him.

I'm surprised he's being interviewed for head coaching positions. Honestly, I think he'll end up as an OC somewhere and probably get another HC job a few years down the line.

Good thread. The cats in your sig/avatar warrants a like. Good job mate

Is that true, Tannenbaum leaked this story? What are the circumstances surrounding the story?
It is an assumption on my part. When Tannenbaum was with the Jets he was a big friend of Francessa and would appear on his talk show often. Francessa has admitted to being friends with Tannenbaum and maintaing that friendship. Tannenbaum clearly had an axe to grind so why not throw Gase under the bus as well and squeal to his buddy? I assume Tannenbaum would like to work in the NFL again and best to blame a failure on someone else who had a say in personnel. Again, just my opinion.

I understand. I thought you might have heard something while listening to WFAN? I'm a former NYer and use to listen all the time. I know Francesa has a lot of connections. It does make sense he'd get that info from Tannenbaum. But to the story, I know it's brave of some to belittle a boss but one needs to remember the Boss can fire you for insubbordination. Gase got what he deserved. Miami will eventually come out on top.

I am happy Gase is gone, but I would say his coaching career is in a lot better shape than the Miami dolphins organization is right now. As far as hitching his wagon to Tannehill, wasn't that the criteria in hiring the new coach when he came here, someone who would work with Tannehill?

Report: Packers to meet with Adam Gase

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the Packers will interview Adam Gase for their head-coaching vacancy.

The interview is expected to happen Sunday. The Packers join a growing list of teams interested in Gase, who already met with the Cardinals and Jets. Gase would be another offensive-minded hire after Mike McCarthy's 13-year tenure. Green Bay also has interviews lined up with Titans OC Matt LaFleur, Saints OC Pete Carmichael, Dan Campbell, Steelers OL coach Mike Munchak, and Pariots coordinators Josh McDaniels and Brian Flores.
Well, maybe Gase goes to Green Bay and FINALLY gets Aaron Rogers to play up to his potential.
Whisper, whisper. whisper!!!!

To be honest, Elway is a awful NFL executive who isn't really qualified to run that team except into the ground.

That team has been living off of the moves and draft picks on Xanders, now that those players are aging and leaving the team continues to be in a downward spiral.

This isn't pro-Gase, but more of a...Elway hating someone (he pushed Xanders out) isn't exactly a bad thing.
