***brian Flores Super Thread***

I would rather have Richard than Flores. But this goes back to Ross deciding to keep Grier instead of completely cleaning house like he should have done.

If this is a Caldwell / Flacco combo I am gonna be disappointed , mainly because it means in all likelihood we are accepting Flacco as good enough or striving for 8-8. Take your pick.

I don't like this hire one bit, I thought Richard was a little light in terms of a relevant resume to take a HC job in the NFL but this guy makes him look like Andy Reid. It should have been the other way round, Richard 1st choice Flores second. Happy times :(

I'm fine with it..

We know nothing about the guy, we know nothing about his coaching ability, we know nothing about his ability to lead a group of men. It's all luck most of the time.
Unfortunately for us, it does come down to luck.

You do understand though, that most billion $ organizations, with competent decision makers, actually give some thought to a situation, rather than leave it to "luck"?

I can see it now.

Ross: Chris, why did we hire this idiot?

Grier: IDK. We weren't lucky, I guess

If this ends up being true I think it’s a brilliant hire
Allow me to qualify
Miami ALWAYS backs up the proverbial “Brinks Truck” and over pays for the “hottest name” Coach available. Never works as said hottest name comes in arrogant with the “smartest guy in the room” syndrome and ultimately ends up failing. Coach Flores is the kind of man who’s going to go in there extremely passionate and hungry to be a great leader and want desperately to build a winning culture from the ground up.
Not to mention his tutelage coming up under Bill Belichick. He’s worked in a lot of different departments in the Patriot organization which is also a plus. We’ll see.
