***brian Flores Super Thread***

I’m extremely excited about this hire. Finally a good move by the dolphins in decades

Last off-season, Belichick felt that Flores wasn't ready to be a defensive coordinator and decided to effectively roll with a vacancy at the position instead.

I'm curious what you think has transpired in the past year to elevate Flores from "not ready to be a coordinator" to "ready to be given the keys to the franchise"?

It's a genuine question. If we're really going to go this route, I'd love to have my mind changed so I can try to muster some optimism.

I respect your opinion RH and your thoughts on him are compelling.
He seems incredibly inexperienced.

Eh maybe we take a flier and it works out. But that's what it feels like, a shot in the dark.

I do genuinely see the leadership that people talk about and Palpatine is clearly a fan, but it feels like this is a hire you should be making is 2021 not 2019

Not as risky as Taylor getting the Bengals job for sitting on the Rams sideline though

We needed people with experience in running a successful franchise to rebuild this team. What did we get? Two newcomers to their positions-GM and HC.

While I don't carry as much excitement ,with this hire as you do, Your post on Flores was excellent reading and gave me hope. We all have no idea how this will turn out, but i respect the hell out of fans who make coherent, intelligent points when trying to back up their opinions. Kudos to you!.

For everyone asking about the Patriots defense and the possible impact that Flores had, please read the below article. I live in NE and unfortunately have to watch and hear about the Patriots all the time. Their defense is not amazing but not that bad. They get pressure on the QB, tackle well & force turnovers. In today’s NFL that is how you win. You have to give up yards because of the offensively favored rules.

I think this could end up being a good hire. Only time will tell.

he did interview for a HC position last year and was a finalist

But he’s going to? Or is this all still speculation

Nothing can be official until the Pats season ends. But unless he says no this is your HC

Was is it Flores or Belichick with the bright idea to put Gronk in near the goal line on the Miracle play?

It is really becoming f’ing impossible to be a fan of this team.

At this point, I’d almost appreciate Ross & Grier having a press conference and just flat-out admitting that they have no idea what they’re doing, and they just picked a name out of a hat.
