Hiring your buddies!

All Gase did was hire his friends.

Grier supposedly hit it off with Flores at owners meeting last year. Who cares if your friends with him. Your job is to find the best guy. Not the one you’ll communicate in the hallway best with.

If this is the best we can get to coach the Miami freaking Dolphins then we’ve reached the threshold of hell

From Shula to Flores. Wtf

You mean "life is full of that flaw". Any hiring manager is *ALWAYS* going to hire the person they know over the person they don't if they believe the two are equal -- *ALWAYS*. Why? Because it reduces risk: you know the persons strengths and weaknesses and are unlikely to be surprised.

In the NFL, where careers are short and you are always under the gun to win now, you do whatever you can to reduce risk.

What makes you think he’s incapable of being a good coach? He has just as much HC experience as Gase and McVay had when they were hired.

Everyone was excited when we hired Gase, because he was this supposed “guru” that was going to help Tannehill. Meanwhile, nobody paid much attention to the McVay hiring.

Nobody knows how any coach is going to preform.

You are completely right, no one knows if he is going to suck, or be the next McVay.

The problem lies in the fact that all these decisions seem so obviously bad, we say “they know more than we do, they have the inside info” yet we are consistently proven right, over and over.

“Surely they have to see how much of a problem the interior line is, they can’t be ignoring it on purpose, they are trying”

Come to find Gase didn’t think guards were a high priority in his offense.

“Ross must know something about Tannenbaum, because the whole fan base hates the hire”

Nope.

“They must know something about andre branch to give him 24 million after a 5 sack season”

Nope.

Interviewing Dowel Loggains for HC is like putting a middle finger straight in the fans faces.

No I don’t like this hire, I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but it’s so obviously a bad choice over Richard. I have 0 faith in this organization to make a good decision.

We know your hiring practices now. The good ole' boy network. Yeehaw...!!!
